The Western Canadian road trip - horrific stats

Since the Habs went 3-0 in 1998-1999 they have had a horrible record against our Western Canadian friends on the road.

1999-2000: (1-2-0; L EDM W CGY L VAN)
2000-2001: (0-0-0-2; L VAN OTL EDM OTL CGY)
2001-2002: (1-2-0-0; L VAN W CGY L EDM)
2002-2003: (0-1-1-1; T CGY L VAN OTL EDM)
2003-2004: (1-1-0-1; OTL VAN L CGY W EDM*)
2005-2006: (0-3-0; L EDM L CGY L VAN)
2006-2007: No road trip
2007-2008: No road trip
2008-2009: (0-3-0; L CGY L EDM L VAN)
2009-2010: (0-3-0l L CGY L VAN L EDM)
*Denotes Heritage Classic

Total record of: 3-15-1(T)-3(OTL) in the last 22 games out west. HOLY **** THAT'S BAD.

The Habs have not won at Rexall Place in Edmonton since December 29th, 1998. Jeff Hackett was in net and the final score was 5-2. They have however won at Commonwealth Stadium in 2003.

The last win in Vancouver came on January 2nd, 1999. Jeff Hackett was also in net in a 2-1 win.

Last win in Calgary came January 5th, 2002. On the heels of a great Theodore performace, the Habs won 4-2.

THIS IS BRUTAL!

This is going to be a tough trip regardless if the teams are good or bad. We need the wins.

I know we get killed in Vancouver every time, but I had no idea how bad our record was on the western swing. Funny thing is, everyone loves the Habs out there.

I wonder if we could get Hackett for $750k?

No reason why we can't beat Edmonton; we are undefeated outdoors, so brace yourselves, Calgary; and Price is going to be big-time ready for Vancouver.

We come back home over .500, in my opinion. 3-0 if Price puts on a show at Rogers Arena and guys like DD, MaxPac, Darche and Gionta tire out the Nucks slow defense.

2-1-0 would be also very good to come back with.

I'd be almost happy with 1-1-1 considering our current injury situation.

would love 3 wins
will take 2 wins
but as long as we get one but take points in all game could be worse....
coming back with 0 points could be devistating

I hate Western Canada just for this simple fact: The Habs suck.

Wow that's aweful stats lol.

I hope we can get 3-0 but unlikely. I'll be happy with 2-1, and ok with 1-1-1. Hopefully we can play for .500

If the law of averages has anything to do with anything then no doubt the Habs are due for at least a 2 - 1 road trip.

Tomorrow will be my first Habs game in quite some time, so hopefully they get their **** together. I'm ready to be disappointed though...

If my memory is correct, this was the last Habs/Oilers game I've been to: http://www.hockey-reference.com/boxs...110300EDM.html

I got to see Olivier Michaud's only 20 minutes he ever played in the NHL.

(...and the Habs played like crap that night. Doug Gilmour was the only good player on the ice.)

Don't think so. They have been good in Californina during that same stretch.

And for what it's worth, when I'm in attendance, a player that never scores usually does so. Either a 4th line plugger, or a rookie with his first NHL goal.

The trend continued last week at the Oilers/Sens game; Bobby Butler scored his first NHL goal.

Fearless prediction...Tom Pyatt or Brendon Nash will score.

Considering these stats if the Habs can get 3 out of 6 points I'd be happy.. We just can't go 0-3 and get no points at all..
