Yes, we have plenty of top 6 wings.

Montreal can keep their player that apparently doesn't try hard. It's laughable that saying If AK tried hard he'd be good. That's not the type of player I want on a team I root for.

Keep fighting the good fight. This thread wasn't started by a Stars fan and we don't want your dude. We have our wingers and they're all better than AK.

Too bad for Dallas because he could be a good goal scorer on a team that has a smaller fan base and has less media attention.

Oh so he can't handle pressure now? That'll be great come playoff time.

Montreal Pressure . Dallas has WAY less pressure i am sure . The moment you step foot outside the media knows about it . He would be great on Dallas i am sure of it.

Let's say he would be, that doesn't mean we need him. I wouldn't move any of Eriksson, Benn, Neal or Morrow down the lineup to accommodate him so what would be the point? Rhetorical question, the answer is that there is none from a Stars POV.

Square peg meet round hole.

I'd love to get Ott. But these rugged guys that can play are valuable. You don't want to overpay for these players but the teams that have them need an overpayment to trade them. Montreal can't afford him without creating a bigger hole.

Ott can play. Don't be a moron and put him in the same Category as BGL. He's not a goon.

You are right he can play . But what i am saying is for some reason all players that can fight in other teams just dont fight when they play for the habs. So i dont think ott would do the job that we would need him to do.

But he isn't what the Habs need at this time. They need a top six forward (which is something Ott isn't) and a defenceman.

He means top 6 wingers and it's a fact that all of the Stars top 6 wingers are better than AK. By a considerable margin at that.

Nieuwendyk loves Ott and all the intangibles he provides, that's why he signed him to the extension last summer for the money he did. They won't be giving him up for Kotstitsyn and they definitely won't be adding to him - that's a joke of a deal. You need to add a lot of value for him to even pick up the phone.

Again my previous comment stands...your teams so called top 6 wingers had better pull up their socks or they will be watching the playoffs on TV... They may be sellers in about 2 weeks not buyers.

What does this have anything to do with the fact that Kostitsyn wouldnt be a top 6 forward in Dallas?

Non-sense unless MTL has previously acquired a Top 6 forward... AK should be traded to fill that void, not to get a pest in our team, we got rid of Lapierre so...

The players I mentioned before are all better than AK: Eriksson, Benn, Neal, Morrow. I didn't think I needed to spell it out. Also, the point stands; this thread was not started by a Stars fan and nobody from our side of the table is actively trying to get a hold of AK. Take the uninformed vitriol elsewhere.

Or do you think he is just overrated by the fan base he plays for?
