So what's Jesper Fasth's timeline for coming over to North America (if at all)? 2-3 years?

Zipay retweeted Christian Thomas won a bunch of coaches awards for the OHL.

Quebec had a breakaway tournament and Bourque won the final showing some nice moves even though the goalie looked like he didn't try to stop the pucks.

Yeah the awards were for the eastern conference in the OHL. Most dangerous in the goal area. Best shot. Second in hardest shot

After next year probably (depending on how well he plays of course).

Take that Toffoli!

Anyways, could Thomas possibly fit a team need any more?

Thomas' 50th goal watch continues tonight.... Oshawa also plays Saturday night as well.... 2 of Oshawa's last 5 games are against the Peterborough Petes, who are 19-43-1 on the season. Get 'er done!

Only if he was an elite playmaking center.

Are both teams playing without a goalie?

Great for Thomas. Wonder if he can hit 60?

edit- Ethan Werek scored a goal, too. sweet.

He did take a tripping penalty just before this that contributed to a Kingston PP goal, so lets hold off the celebration until he gets #51.

Hopefully he adds an inch or two and tons of muscle so he's up with the Rangers next season

Crazy.

Is Thomas the real deal?

Those awards that he won, make the ears perk up.

Is there anything else he needs to prove at the CHL level?

He's going to be in camp in September, they need to give him a long look.

Grachev was listed for some of those awards too his season in the OHL. But it's nice to know that Thomas' achievements can't be attributed to him being bigger and stronger than his competition, nor being a benefactor of playing with elite level (OHL) teammates....

Would be nice to see the NHL or the Rangers release an article on Thomas' accomplishments so far this season.... Surprised the NHL hasn't jumped on that given the connection to his father.

Additionally, Thomas is now tied with Tyler Toffoli for the league lead in goals (52), however Thomas has played 3 less games overall (62 vs. 65). Toffoli plays 3 more, and Thomas has 4 more games left on the season.... Oshawa and Ottawa go head to head on the 18th.... Doesn't appear any other players will overtake them as the next highest totals are 47....
