D'Amigo has 13 points in 7 games for Kitchener. Kreider would have absolutely destroyed the CHL.

Not sure if this has been posted or not. Interesting read on Grachev. I hope he pulls it all together and is a regular in NY next year.

Thanks for sharing! (Although it probably belongs in the Whalepack thread. )

See, this is why I hate Gernander as the coach of the AHL squad. The whole article is on Grachev's development and talent. Schoeny's quote is about how they're trying to hone his offensive skills for the next level. And what does Gernander say? Effectively "Yeah... well, he's gonna have to learn to grind better if he wants to play in the NHL, 'cause he's not gonna be a big scorer."

I know I'm biased because the kid was a favorite of mine dating back to Brampton, but I'm terrified he's ruining him by trying to make him play like Weise.

I really hope we hang onto him. There is so much there. He's only 21. He's making progress which is great. I could see him needing another season in the A.

Nice. He's been kind of forgotten this year due to the injury I think. He may well make a surprise push for a roster spot next year. We going to have a LOT of competition on the LW from our prospect ranks in camp...

Andrew Yogan was cleared to return. He should rejoin his team for practice tomorrow, and could be back as soon as Feb 24th.

OTTERS UPDATE: F Andrew Yogan (shoulder) has been cleared to play, GM Sherry Bassin said; coach Robbie Ftorek will determine when he plays.
I didnt comment on it last night but that is GREAT news. I hope he is 100% healthy and just gets back into his groove. I think he has a chance to be a good player.

Northeastern again. Hockey East conference play.

Kreider finished the game with 2 goals on 4 shots and 9 PIMs. A slash, hitting after the whistle, and 5 minute kneeing penalty.

Saw the game.

Some people look at his size and question whether he can keep up his play at the next level, but I think he definitely can. He may be small, but he's very quick, he's aggressive and he's hard to knock off the puck. He also doesn't need much room to get his shot off. These are all critical qualities for smaller players to succeed at the next level IMO. The goal was off a cross crease pass by Lucas Lessio, which Thomas one timed to the back of the net. He was also fantastic on the penalty kill, much like the rest of his Oshawa teammates on the night.
