I really think Werek will be a consistent offensive producer in the pros. I remember a poster coming here a few months ago and saying that Kingston doesn't play much of a team game, and that a lot of the go to players are very selfish with the puck.
BC is a mentally tough team. Deep team. Always play well in big games. Defending champs. A handful of players graduated from last season. They know how to win. BC will beat CC and then the winner of Michigan-Nebraska Omaha. One of the BC players Brian Doumoulin(through his advisor)has already said he is staying for his junior year. Carolina owns his draft rights. Some of their other players such as Jimmy Hayes is rumored to be leaving BC to sign with the Leafs. Some of them rejected NHL contracts last season to stay another year in school and win again. After a certain amount of time, its time to think about your own future and turn pro.
I think maybe you jumped the gun on anointing BC in the frozen four, no?
In these playoffs, single elim, nothing is ever a given.
"I have something better than proof: I have anecdotal evidence."
You know, the more they win at school, the less of a reason they have to go back. If Kreider wins another title versus let's say he gets bounced in the title game, which one is gonna make him want to go back to BC more?
