Tough choice

Maybe Armstrong? It has to be a forward though IMO.

Why not Kessel (I know he's not the 'leader' type) but he is the guy that we are building the franchise around.

it wont be kessel, not until he is a very long veteran in this league, armstrong or schenn has more chance of being the assistant captain than kessel.

Army or Schenn

Army or Macarthur, though Schenn is a solid choice as well

im sure it will be Army..correct me if im wrong but i believe he wore an A in Atlanta. He deserves it, seems like a vocal guy and leads by example on the ice.

I'd say Phillip Kessel. The way he's playing now, he's starting to look like he's maturing into a more well balanced team player. You can see that he's having fun out there even when he wasn't scoring and that wasn't necessarily the case in the past. To me up until midway through his 14 game funk, Phil's mentality was i'm the scorer, thats my job and thats that. But now he has win win win mentality. Mostly because thats what the team and fans are all being fed right now (pushin for the playoffs, FINGERS AND TOES CROSSED )
