Maybe, it's for one day and his wrist is probably too swollen to do anything with it anyway.

Not sure this makes any difference no matter the time of year.

If this was a West Coast trip, I doubt he would be on it.

Yeah.

This is a huge blow. The top line was looking real legit and I was starting to think that they would be a legit top line next season.....

A huge blow yes. But it sounds like he'll be back in early March, at the latest. Not sure what this has to do with next year.

When they say 2-3 weeks I generally assume that mean's he'll be back sometime by mid to late March.

The only way I could possibly see us managing that is if every single player steps up their game and Nash has a Rocket Trophy type season and scores in basically every remaining game.

I guess it's expected though. We went nearly all season without any real type of injuries. And yet they played so badly in December and January without much excuse.

I wouldn't be shocked to the see the top line continue to put up the numbers. Nash and Voracek are on top of their games atm, we saw that when Mackenzie stepped in and they didn't miss a beat. Nash especially is playing some of his best hockey right now when we need it most.

So is it broken? Hairline? Deeply ConTOOZED?

He was playing well, but MacKenzie seemed to step in quite nicely, didn't he.

And what the hell...bring back Filatov, -unless it would ruin his trade value

After the 2nd MRI all they would say was that the time table was still 2-3 weeks. So it must not be broken.

Portzline pisses off Arniel.

Quote:
Asked if could supply information about the extent of Brassard’s injury, coach Scott Arniel said: “No, I won’t, actually. From this point forward we’re going back to the lower-body injury, mid-torso injury and the upper-body injury. Media members went behind my back trying to find out about injuries, and from this point forward . . . Brass got hit with a slap shot. That’s all I’ll say on it.”

Seems that some of the Falcons fan would be delighted to see Filatov called up, if just to get rid of him. Didn't some post that they thought he was faking injury?

HG2748 posted that several people in her section thought he was faking it. Only saw the game online so what I would say is that this player is definitely going through the motions. It's an understatement to say that no one wants to be in the A but is this the way to make it back to the show ?

I heard Arniel say that in his post game press conference. I wondered who went to Umberger's wife to find out what happened. I was at the game, so I only saw her remarks posted in the GDT.

Was she quoted on FSN or where did posters get her information?

On the Umberger injury play, did anyone else think it was a cheap shot by Stoll?

Umberger dumps the puck in from center ice and peels off at the blue line, probably for a line change, when Stoll intercepts him and sticks his leg out when Umberger veers away from him.

That information has not been confirmed that I know of.

Arniel may be referring to Mason's situation. Everything seemed to have been under wraps with everyone wondering what was going on with Garon's start. Then the Dispatch comes out with the information "from sources" concerning the bronchitis, flu and slight tweak to the groin.

I could be wrong, just guessing like everyone else.

What ever it was seemed to really torque him off.

I was partly amused because it was a rather silly comment from Arniel as well.
