whatever the case maybe he's out of here it seems.

Could also be the straw that breaks the camels back though. I don't doubt there are multiple teams interested in Kaberle and that have offered a deal but if they are not teams Kabs is willing to wave for then this tactic is dumb. This whole situation pisses me off and I just can't Waite for it to be over, the sooner the better.

Clearly trying to raise the price for Kaberle. Interesting.

Strange. Your not the first person who has said that you would rather the Leafs not trade with Boston.

Honestly speaking, if there is an offer out there that makes the Leafs better and fits in with Burke's plan, then who the hell cares which team makes that offer? If it's Montreal for god sakes you make that deal - it means nothing knowing where the offer is coming from.

I personally would love to trade with Boston if it meant that one of their 1st round picks would be coming back; it would soften the blow of the Kessel trade, and we need first round talent within our pipeline.

We've heard the same gobbledygoo for how many seasons now. How many times has Kaberle been virtually traded? And not necessarily by the Maple Leafs, the farkin media has him being traded every other day.

I think with their blue line killed, raymond might be dangled around or perhaps burrows, would love either one of them here man, would be nice.

Pipe dream like all leafers: Hodgson.

Burkie seems a bit more stubborn than the previous GM and it seems like burke has made silent moves to show that kabby isn't welcome here that much as well. It's no secret each time his days have been limited here, as I said the best we can hope for is that he goes and comes back and signs with us.

Wonder what causes the bigger uproar? Kaberle walking as a UFA or Wilson's inevitable contract extension?

vancouver will not move anybody from their forward core. those are 2 big pieces.

If anything, it will be guys in the minors, or picks. possibly a 7th Dman.

And I'm pretty sure Kaberle has made it clear that he doesn't want to go to the west. Or have I misinterpreted things he's said over the years?

We've been through this so many times before that I have zero faith that Kaberle will be traded. NTC + UFA = Burke not getting what he wants for him.

Kaberle is helpful in maintaining this little playoff push we have going here. The second we trade him Boston's pick likely improves.

We still have 3 years left on Wilson's current contract. Don't get too far ahead of yourself.

no you are correct, but anything can happen after all it doesn't mean they will sign him up, chances are he wont go there that's for sure. Raymond is deemed expendable to the nucks eyes as he's not what he was expected to be and they are still looking for depth players in the bottom 6 role i believe.

beauchemin is a veteran that was added, what happened to him? he was given an A was welcome here and was depended on to show our young players that he was a leader and a role, kaberle got that A taken away from, sure no problem and indeed kaberle wasn't shopped away. But that doesn't mean he is going to fit in with our model, its like philip in ottawa saying i want stay with the rebuild, while they shipping away every veteran

Rubbish.

Burke has a reputation of being completely honest with his staff and players, almost to absurdly brutal levels. I'm sure he's had that conversation with Kaberle/his agent, and told them something along the lines of:

"We will see if there is a deal out there that we are happy with, and we will talk again if something comes up"

If Burke wanted to force Kaberle out, then Kaberle would have been moved in the off-season period when Kaberle's NTC was void

well then either way it seems he is gone.
