EDM saves a little cap now, and gets 2 pending RFAs for next year who infuse their roster with more solid potential youth and a veteran D-man to help anchor the back end.

TOR takes the longer term higher cap hit, but higher production as well. Hemsky solidifies the top 6 winger spots (I am assuming MacArthur will be moved before the end of this year or sign elsewhere for bigger cash than the Leafs will offer in the off-season leaving the buds with Kessel\Hemsky\Kulemin\Lupul on the wings of the top 2 lines). Horcoff and his faceoff abilities would be an overpaid 3rd line center, but his leadership, truculence and tanacity would be welcome additions to the bottom 6 forwards.

Maybe the Leafs have to add Philly's 3rd 2011. i don't think much else though.

Thoughts and\or tweaks?
There's no asset in that package that justifies giving up Hemsky.

How is it that the Oilers give up the two best players, and get the worst contract back in this deal? I wouldn't do Horcoff alone for that deal (no Komisarek), and certainly not for Hemsky. If the Leafs want Hemsky, I want Kadri and your second round pick. And that may not even be enough.
