Just an if. I thought Schenn and JVR are equal. I see alot of potential in couts so added an 1st and kuelmin. If its not enough maybe we can switch something around.
i'd do it from a leafs point of view. philly might not like this deal. we might hav to add another pick or B prospect (d'amingo, mckegg, holzer, etc..)
It's not an awful package at all. In fact, the value is pretty decent. There's just no way that Philly moves Couturier at this time.
And, regardless of what the perception of JVR is on these boards, I get the feeling the Flyers will seriously regret moving him, if they choose to do so, especially if it's for a defensive Dman with little offensive upside (no offense to Schenn, but that's the way I view him).
I will not trade Couturier alone for that package. Absolutely freaking no way in hell.
Couturier will be #1 center. Kulemin sucks, whatever I do not care about him (I know I am going to take heat from Leafs fans). Schenn and 1st is nice but will not get you #1 center.

My new strategy is just to say "deal" to every TML proposal. its just a quick way to end the thread. Just go with it, it will lessen the pain and agony of all these continuous threads.

None taken. His offensive upside is minimal. He's no Komisarek but I don't expect him to exceed 20 points with any regularity.
As for this trade....
I've already been over the Schenn + Jvr part - I'm not convinced JVR can live up to his potential and that contract is a risk.
Kulemin for Couturier - I do like couturier, but this is a step back for us this year. Given we're trying to make the playoffs, it doesn't make sense for us.
