Barons 3 Heat 1

The BoAHL at the 'Dome tonight... Oklahoma City Barons @ Abbotsford Heat

Quote:
The Abbotsford Heat will face a bevy of firsts on Friday night. It will be their first game in Calgary in franchise history and it will also mark the first time that the Heat will play host to the Oklahoma City Barons, the primary affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers.

The Heat (27-22-2-5) is riding a four game winning streak and currently is 6-3-0-1 over their past ten games. Abbotsford is coming of their busiest stretch of the season, playing seven games over nine days thru three different time zones. Over that span, the Heat posted a record of 5-2 and remains in the thick of the North Division playoff race. As we went to press, the Heat are tied for 3rd place in the Division with the Hamilton Bulldogs (Montreal Canadiens), just three points back of first place, which is occupied by the Manitoba Moose (Vancouver Canucks) and the Lake Erie Monsters (Colorado Avalanche).

Go HEAT!

this is going to be so fun to watch. I have never had the chance to see the Heat in action and against Springfield no less. The fact i am going with my buddy who is deranged enough to claim allegiance to our northern nemesis should make it extra entertaining.

Although it is only one game, it will be nice to get a chance to see the upcoming prospects although the cupboard is apparently a little bare.

I watched the Heat play the Marlies three times last year when I was living in Toronto, and now I'm going to the game here tonight. Any chance people have, they should go watch this team. Woohoo!

The game was alright, I thought. That third period was brutal, and Kotalik was about as useful as **** on a fish.

On the brightside, I thought Breen, Seabrook and Brodie looked pretty good. And I felt like a school girl getting excited over Bieber with Craig Conroy being only feet away from me.

You would think Kotalik should be able to light up the minors
