Wow. I would suggest to Gauthier that he not trade any more prospects or draft picks. This is not our year.

BTW, Valabik was on waivers earlier this year.

Yeah, the Bruins are shedding salary here, I think Valabik is AHL-bound.

If they send him through waivers again we should grab him.

So what's our plan if we play Boston in the first round? Just roll over and call it a day like in '09? That was real pleasant to watch.

Stuff like this makes me even more frustrated at Gainey for not going for it in '08. He wimps out of the Hossa deal and we got to watch our offense choke in round 2 while Hossa scores 26 points in 20 games with Pitt. Still waiting for 'our time'

Right now they just are better suited to make a run and that's the way it is.

Definitely watching BOS-OTT tonight. Don't see why Kaberle won't play. Maybe even Peverley, but that's a long shot. Probably looking at a blowout though.

If Gauthier trades any picks or decent prospects this year he is delusional

Boston and Philly both look pretty unstoppable now

And to anyone saying I'm a pessimist/temperamental etc... I stuck with this team in the days of Juha Lind

With all our injuries this is not our year

I liked Colborne a lot in his draft year, I think it is a good pick up by the Leafs. He has a much better chance of cracking the NHL in TO than BOS, just look at the difference in C depth. It was also a good move by ATL, makes them better to make a strong push for the 8th seed.

Hopefully it will be closer to 04. Boston added Gonchar and Nylander, but it didn't make a difference in the end.

Boston and Philly are the real deal. I still think the Pens will trade for a top6 winger if Sid come back this year and the Caps even if they struggle can cause dammage in the playoff

I sort of agree, the long term injuries this year have been a killer. But if there is a way of improving the depth without giving up good pieces he should still do it. I didn't want to see him add any rentals anyways due to the injuries. But if their are any young players available for now and the future he should definitely be making offers. Trades like the Frolik one is what he should be looking at.

That team also had Raycroft in net and the Tin Man for a leader. And Samsonov for secondary scoring. Although I do admit Boston is a team that's weak mentally, as proven by last years historic collapse.

Still, I don't see why we can't get a big forward that can help us for this year and next. We have some pieces, I'm personally not that excited about Tinordi or this years 1st round pick. Also not that attached to Leblanc or Kristo, but it would really have to be the right guy to get them.

Great...Bruins improve now and if they re-sign Kaberle near future. Leafs boost their prospect pool to a whole 'nother level and look to have a good future. Inter-divisional trades should be taboo.

Wonder if Burke is planning on flipping those two firsts for a top 5 pick? Probably isn't the best year to do it though. Pretty balanced first round.

I doubt he could pull that off. Those firsts are probably going to be 20th or later, maybe even 25th or later.

Ya that's what I was thinking. It still gives him the option to move up for pretty much any slot after the top 10-15.

And if he does and we don't claim him then PG needs to get his head examined.
