Nice additions to boston, but if we were to meet them in the playoffs i would still not count our team out.

Well Kessel used to eat us alive in Boston, now he sucks against us with Toronto. Maybe the same thing will happen to Kaberle?

I think before he can play he needs to go on recall waivers. I doubt Boston brings him up until the playoffs because by then anyone who claims him can't use him in their lineup.

Why does it seem that Toronto's main goal is to make Boston the ultimate team?

Reminds me of when Boston picked up Gonchar, Nylander, etc and was supposed to smoke us. Not quite. It would be nice to have Markov, Gorges, etc but the Bruins don't scare me at all

If Wheeler and Stuart are dead weight, so is Peverley, his production is lower than Wheeler's if you factor in ice time(15 min/game vs 19 min/game).

even if the Flyers and Bruins look great, Gauthier have to move if we want at least a chance to go far in the playoff. Playoff games = money and you can be sure the whole organisation want to be in the playoff and at least win one round.

Markov- will not be back
Gorges- might be back for the plaoff
Gill-will be there for the playoff
Wiz-will be there for the playoff
Spacek-will be there for the playoff
Cam-will be there for the playoff

so basically only Markov will be out for the playoff and maybe Gorges too.

so Gauhtier will move for a forward

Burke has a deal with the owners to replace Chiarelli when his contract is up

Obviously 29 NHL GM's need their heads examined because Valabik went through waivers in October and he hasn't done much AHL to justify playing in the NHL.

Atlanta included him in the deal to dump salary because he is on an 800k 1 way contract.

That argument doesn't wash. There are many players around the league that have been through waivers that have ended up being good additions.

Boston gets better with this trade, but they're far from unstoppable.

Yes but for each of those there are about 100 players that went unclaimed and never did anything at the NHL level. That's like saying a 7th rounder is worth a fortune because it could be a Lidstrom or Zetterberg.

We should barring a huge collapse. If anything we should get better with guys coming back in the lineup soon, especially Cammalleri.

Problem is that Carey isn't playing out of mind either lately. He has to work with what's in front of him, but he hasn't been as sharp.

Possibly a sign of fatigue. Wouldn't surprise me, I mean. Definitely the danger of having a goalie as your star player.

Pretty sure Daniel Briere and Steve Sullivan were on waivers at one point in their careers.

Huselius, Bryzgalov, Beachemin, Peverley to name a few off the top of my head.

Boston and Philly look like the best teams in the East now. With our injuries on defense though, I wasn't expecting much. From the day Markov and Gorges got injured, I put an ''X'' on the season. Giving experience to our youngsters, developing the youth and trying to move Gomez/AK would be my priorities.

Moving Gomez will definitely be hard but I'm all for moving Kostitsyn before the trade deadline.

Pretty interesting to see how a Kaberle who will finally be put in a position to make a difference in the playoffs will react to that.

He has 29 points in 77 games played. Outside of 2001-2002 playoffs he's been rather disappointing I'd say.
