I thought Brodie was a legit source. Why is the title still "rumored". Just checking for future reference.

Well our 2nd rounder will be the last pick in the 2nd next year so whatever....and White looks like a guy with plenty of tools, although I haven't seen enough to really know.

Does anyone have a good scouting report on White??

I'm not concerned. He's a versatile player. Toronto dealt him to get Phaneuf. Calgary dealt him because they couldn't re-sign him to the contract they wanted. Carolina's trading him because of salary.

If the Sharks can get him to sign a new contract, this will be a steal. But if not, they paid a good but not steep price for a rental player that actually fits what they needed to add.

Say what you want about DW, but he very rarely gets fleeced in a trade. Getting a top 4 guy without giving up a 1st rounder or a roster player is a nice move. Now hopefully White can regain some of his Toronto form for us.

Thats true. Still it's still a 2nd in a better draft than this one.

Woah! RT @SanJoseSharks: The #Sharks have assigned D-man Jason Demers to the Stockton Thunder, San Jose's ECHL affiliate.

Cap shuffling big time.

Demers better only be down until they clear additional space (Wallin/Huskins/Mitchell).

I know its pretty well confirmed that its a second but for those looking for final proof, TSN now has the trade listed.

Clearly it's just to clear space between games until they finish transactions, but still extremely odd heh. I thought he would need to clear waivers.

In explanation, Stockton is a short term holding place for Demers. This is obviously not #sjsharks plan for him.

This is my bet. Why the hell wouldn't they just send him to Worcester? They wanted to send him somewhere close to save on travel costs, and because he is probably only going to be there for a day or two until they clear space.

Gotta be a 3rd move today... No way Demers doesn't play tomorrow night.

Stockton only b/c it's close by so Demers just sits out practice today.

Can they move Demers that easily? No waivers? Does he have a three-way contract?

Demers to Stockton is ridiculous. You don't save much with Demers down. Why not send back Petrecki and the extra forward you have? And yes, they can send him to Stockton because he's still on ELC.

Raise your hand if you thought Erhoff at the time was a Top 2 DMAN on our team, let alone the Nucks team at the time of the trade...

Just makes it sting a little less.... just a little.
