2/18 Demers to ECHL Stockton; Recalled 2/19
Wasn't at practice this morning.
SanJoseSharks The
#Sharks have assigned D-man Jason Demers to the Stockton Thunder, San Jose's ECHL affiliate.

In explanation, Stockton is a short term holding place for Demers. This is obviously not
#sjsharks plan for him.

Does he have to make it to Stockton, or can he go as far as Milpitas and drive around in circles?

With Braun being recalled and no roster players going in the White deal, the Sharks had to make a roster move to be at the 23 man limite (w/ Niitty on IR). Demers to Stockton is easy and he can be back here to play tomorrow once they get everything else squared away.

Guessing he was there for practice this morning. Stockton plays at home (against Victoria) tonight, tomorrow and Sunday.

I wish I knew if he's going to play in Stockton tonight. If so, I'd drive out there to catch the game... been meaning to get out there this season, and this would give me a slightly better reason.

I wonder if Stockton had been on the road if Demers would have to show up where ever they were playing. If so, then DW was shrewd to time this trade for this weekend... Demers just drives out there and turns around and heads back.
I highly doubt he plays there. It makes no sense.
How long does he actually have to "hang out" in Stockton or can he just drive there and turnaround?

There is just no way he plays a game and risks injury. He's buying pizza for the rest of the team...

Don't know why anyone's worried. If he was demoted to the AHL, then there would be some worry, unless they were in Boston. Which already happened.
Demers too good for ECHL.

I think Demers uses medical marijuana to treat minor injuries.

''Whoa! There is someone speaking inside that gadget, how do you call it again? Teeleefun? AHAHAHA it feels good man, but just don't know what's happening right now.''
That's what he said, then he hanged up.

He must make a reasonable effort to report.

Nope, he would only need to report to their team facilities.

Is it just "hi and bye" or does he need to stay for a minimum period of time?
Now WTH is going on?? Irwin recalled? Strange stuff.

I'm not aware of any "minimum time"...there probably is one though.
