Mark Stuart & Blake Wheeler appreciation thread

Just wanna give these guys a proper send off.

Wheeler has had his ups and downs over the last couple of years but he's overall been a good player and who can forget that beauty of a goal he scored in St Louis where he deked around 3 or 4 guys for a goal!

Stuart has been a rock solid defender for this team for years and was a true Bruin. Tough as nails and always gave 100%.

Thanks alot guys, have a good career in Atlanta.

Wheeler sucked. Lazy player and didn't use his size. Good riddance.

Stuart I liked.

I always loved the way Stuart played. Maybe he didn't live up to being a first round pick but he played the game hard, played the game right and stood up for teammates.

A true professional and a true Bruin!

Best of luck Mark!

Going to miss them both, Stuart was obviously a big team guy and Wheeler seemed like he was getting it together this year. Sad they have to go to Atlanta of all teams though.

Pretty unlikely though.

I will miss seeing Stuart and his open ice hits.

Wheeler, i just thought should have been molded into a third line shut down winger.

Stuart was a good guy and all, but at the end of the day he was just another guy.

Wheeler frustrated the heck out of me at times, but I didn't dislike him and I liked the move to get him at the time.

Wow..

Not sure what's worse - that an appreciation thread only has 12 posts, or that most of the 12 posts are insulting the players that have left...

Good luck to both players. I will truly miss Stuart, as he has always been one of my favorite active Bruins. Wheeler has been showing signs of turning a corner, and I hope he continues to develop under the guidance of Ramsay and the Atlanta system.

Good luck Stuey! You were a warrior.

Wheeler, don't go offsides on the way to Atlanta.

If he wouldn't went on hf boards he would had known what team he was going to !
Sad to hear guys on this team feeling like that. But that is the trade block for you.
Serious hate to see them both go . Stu you were my second favorite d-man and Wheels you went off sides way to much last year

I'll definitely miss the snarl that Stuey brought to the game. McQuaid/Boychuck can mimic that to an extent but there was just something extra about the Caveman's intensity.

I personally didn't have a problem with Wheels here and I think he also was a player that went all out most of the time. His skills never quite developed like many of us thought they would but perhaps a change of scenery my unlock his potential.

I'll miss both and wish them luck in ATL, but am also looking forward to see what our new additions ( Kelly, Kaberle, Peverley) cam add to the mix.

Gonna miss Stuart - a lot. Stuart was just a prospect when I started posting on HF. He's turned into a good, solid NHL defenseman who makes any team he plays better with his personality, leadership, and style.

Wheeler... love/hate relationship. I wish him all the best, he seems like a great guy, but it wasn't a good fit here.

Good luck to both of these guys! Stuart will be missed. Solid guy and a true Bruin.

Wheeler seems like a nice guy. I hope he finds his stride in ATL.

I love Milbury

He's always honest even if he's a dunce sometimes.

I think Wheeler will have a good career....Good luck to him.
