Wheeler has had his ups and downs over the last couple of years but he's overall been a good player and who can forget that beauty of a goal he scored in St Louis where he deked around 3 or 4 guys for a goal!
Stuart has been a rock solid defender for this team for years and was a true Bruin. Tough as nails and always gave 100%.
Good luck to both players. I will truly miss Stuart, as he has always been one of my favorite active Bruins. Wheeler has been showing signs of turning a corner, and I hope he continues to develop under the guidance of Ramsay and the Atlanta system.
btw I'm listening to Blake do an interview on NHL Power Play and he seems pretty down about the whole situation. Says he didn't have a clue
If he wouldn't went on hf boards he would had known what team he was going to !
Sad to hear guys on this team feeling like that. But that is the trade block for you.
Serious hate to see them both go . Stu you were my second favorite d-man and Wheels you went off sides way to much last year

I'll definitely miss the snarl that Stuey brought to the game. McQuaid/Boychuck can mimic that to an extent but there was just something extra about the Caveman's intensity.
I personally didn't have a problem with Wheels here and I think he also was a player that went all out most of the time. His skills never quite developed like many of us thought they would but perhaps a change of scenery my unlock his potential.
I'll miss both and wish them luck in ATL, but am also looking forward to see what our new additions ( Kelly, Kaberle, Peverley) cam add to the mix.
Gonna miss Stuart - a lot. Stuart was just a prospect when I started posting on HF. He's turned into a good, solid NHL defenseman who makes any team he plays better with his personality, leadership, and style.
Wheeler... love/hate relationship. I wish him all the best, he seems like a great guy, but it wasn't a good fit here.
