Montador would be good depth on D if we aren't getting someone like Cole.
wouldn't mind konopka taking shelley's spot on the fourth line and taking important faceoffs. he also would make carcillo redundant.
I'd rather go with Reasoner. For the few percentage points in FO wins Konopka gives you atleast Reasoner can PK and take a regular shift.
I'd like to see Nodl moved down to take Shelley's spot and an upgrade for Richards line.
I would love another SOB to play against that can finish in close and PK.
Glencross is an obvious choice but how would Jerko Rutuu fit and is he much of an upgrade over Carcillo?
Ive been preaching Taylor Pyatt for awhile. If Phoenix falls out he would be a perfect addition.
I like Pyatt because he has size (6'4" 225lbs) and can play down low. He would create space for Richards and JVR like Carcillo did last season for Richards and Gagne.
My one concern is playing a long series a against teams like BOS, NYR, and WAS. Not that the Flyers couldn't beat them but that they would wear the team down for the next series.
4th line 10 goal defensive role guy = Nodl
Move Nodl down so Carcillo and Shelley are now your 13th & 14 forwards.
Pick up a guy like Glencross, Pyatt, Cole to play alongside Richards.
Agree 100%. Pyatt is having a pretty good season, and he's big, but I don't know if he has enough pop to play on Richards' line right now. Cole would be awesome if he's available and stays healthy. Glencross would definitely work. I'd love to have Betts, Powe, Nodl, Carcillo, and Shelley available for 4th line duty. Or even lose Carcillo if absolutely necessary (shouldn't be, now that Walker is waived).
I do not like the idea of going after anyone !Why screw with the overall chemistry of our club ? Our goalie situation is just fine, we have a fine defense, and fine centers and wingers....I say full steam ahead with what he have....If it ain't broke don't fix it. [ for now]

Agreed but making a minor move involving prospects, picks & players like Carcillo (ie: nobody in our top 9) wouldn't hurt us. While Nodl has exceeded my expectations he also has trouble burying chances and is a rookie, last year in the playoffs JVR struggled & was a healthy scratch for the majority of the SCF, Nodl is a lesser talented rookie so I don't want any repeat scenarios. While we have great balance and depth the truth is the Hartnell/Briere/Leino line has been our most productive all year and more recently the Zherdev/Carter/Giroux line and both have the ability to completely takeover a game. Richards line has always chipped in here and there but never has had the dominance of the other two, individually Richards has had some 3-4 point games but that's all from PP & SHG. Not saying that Richards' line has been weighing us down or not contributing because that's not true, a change doesn't need to be made but imagine if we acquired a winger to replace Nodl and if Richards line started to click & could propose the same threat as the other two lines? We would be unstoppable, it wouldn't be that big of a move but could make a huge impact & upgrade to our team.
Unless someone gets hurt, not sure why so many people are desperate for a center. Betts runs the 4th line, and the number of centers on this team is technically a problem.
