if my 2011 hopes come true...we add Liles and Wideman than we will need to send rusty somewhere to make room...

Right! I feel like a kid who asked for the moon for Christmas from poverty stricken parents. To me, today is Blue Jacket Redemption Day. 10 years of waiting, a team busting their ass...so I'm waiting for someone to say, Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.

They just got a new owner with deep pockets (donated millions to Penn State), so look for Buffalo to really start improving. Must be nice eh?

Boyes, improvement? You've gotta be kidding, hell the Blues should be ecstatic he got more than future considerations.

You are actually right, regardless of the opinion on Brad Boyes, Pegula is going to spend... it's the just the beginning.

He's 28 and ecstatic to be out of Missouri, not good enough for your beer league but just what the doctor ordered in Buffalo. It was a great trade.

Boyes scored 40+ goals 3 years ago, and 30+ goals 2 years ago, not sure what happened to him last year, probably being on a team that's not good I'm guessing.

It's not even about Boyes, it's about Buffalo having an owner with the wallet and the desire to put a winning product on the ice.

Ottawa and Phillips should have done this...

-Ottawa trades Phillips for some assets and then signed him in the off season.
-Phillips had a NTC(I think) so he would have gone to a contender and gotten a chance for a Cup and simply return to Ottawa on July 1st.

But I can tell you that a growing sentiment in the dressing room -- among some of the Blue Jackets' leaders -- is that the players do not want to see any of the young foundation players subtracted from the mix, and they certainly don't want to see any of the established veterans moved.

I'm going in with low expectations. The biggest move of the day will be calling up Holden

Screw what the "leaders" think. Howson needs to improve the team and if that means shipping off a Rusty, Russell, or Stralman, so freaking be it.

I don't know. I've seen chemistry do some beautiful things. I've also seen what upset does to a locker room. We have banded together to get to where we are. Gotta respect your players.

You dont want to mess up that 12th place chemistry! IMO Juice is the best candidate to move, if Calvert can continue his play, he's made Juice expendable

Wideman is AWFUL. We do NOT want him. Liles, I'm on board with, but living in Boston, I saw plenty of his act last year. His offense is not at all worth his defensive liabilities.

Yes, lol, I am STILL at it!! I did sleep a little but jumped right back up, pulled up 2 windows (here and NHL.com) AND have the NHL Network on with surround sound while I get ready for work. Damn work, anyway!

Come on Hockey Fairy, bless us for believing and working hard!!

Did you see that? They just listed the top 5 contenders for the Cup and we were not included. Pfft!! I'm telling ya, one of these days they are all gonna be sorry they dismissed us. We're gonna do it.

They have both Filatov and Hejda as possible CBJ players on the move today. Ugh.

For those of you who have TSN.ca and NHL Network streams blocked at work (like me), the Puck Daddy chat on Yahoo is a good alternative.

One piece of news (not good)

DarrenDreger: Plot thickens. If you're wondering if Brad Richards is willing to waive his no move clause? Yes, but only one team. [via Twitter]

99.9% likelihood IMO its the NYR.

If he is wanting to go to a contender, the Rangers would be a bad pick.

They just said the Rangers only have 70 points! BS!! WE have 68 and just as nice arena as MSG and we have Arniel and Rick Nash and an incubator full of promise along with 22 other roster favorites that keep this crazy fan base screaming!! What more could a guy want!!
