meh, I find this no worse than the apologists and excuse makers. "The conditions were so poor". If this game was in the Saddledome we'd have the same result.

Very disappointing to put on such an embarassing effort on a national stage like that...but that's the Western Canada road trip for you. I've given up on it ever turning in our favor.

I hope we're never in another outdoor game again. I'm starting to find them more and more unbearable, between the godawful quality of hockety it produces and the ridiculously over-the-top build-ups from CBC.

To be honest I'm just glad nobody was injured in that game. That one section they kept repairing was bothersome.

When Travis Moen gets 15 minutes and Scott Gomez gets 20 minutes despite Benoit Pouliot (10 minutes) and David Desharnais (11 minutes) being two of your better players recently... this is what happens.

Pathetic coach.

It was a pathetic effort top to bottom, but you hit the nail on the head. This coach is brain dead in today's NHL, completely useless.

I thought Mara actually had a solid game playing for the first time in a while, its nice to have a defenseman actually clearing out forwards from the front of the net.

Pathetic coach.
In the last 2 games, they both were invisible in their first shifts, therefore receiving less playing time as the games went on.

Martin always coach like that. If you're invisible, you get less ice time.

(I'm not defending Martin's ways, but I do believe that Desharnais and Pouliot are not the same players on the road.)

Boone's article about last nights game pretty much sums it up..

What we saw, over the last 28 minutes of the game, was a team that played they knew it was over and just wanted to get in out of the cold.

That was a whole Lotta Hoopla for a whole Lotta nothing. The worst out door game of all of them so far, the ice was so bad they couldn't even Zamboni it and we got the wind twice.

It was more like they were playing on a pebbled Curling rink.
Pretty unfair advantage for a team playing a whole bunch of injured guys. Of well, lets move on to Vancouver & wish for better.

This.

Mike Boone is a glorified fan.

He should stick to his tiny Mike Boone's email column and sucking up to Red Fischer.
