Just because gaborik is having a ****** year it doesn't mean were going to be fleeced in a trade for him

The same Patrice Bergeron that is scoring on a similar clip as Gaborik ths season? Seidenberg is a solid #3 on a good salary, and an atleast top 10 pick?

Gaborik is definitely the better player, but to say you are getting fleeced is a little exaggerated.

Bruins wouldn't do this deal, more so because Bergeron's value to Boston > Bergeron's value in a trade. That and he is our BEST forward this season by a good margin.

If Savard wasn't out indefinitely, I'd say Krejci could be had. But Bruins are lacking healthy top 6 centers, so it's not likely either is moved.

So let me get this straight, the Bruins just acquired Kaberle, Peverley and Kelly, and are currently a #3 seed.

They're going to turn around and trade their best forward and their second best defenceman for a player that's now out with a concussion, 2 prospects and a pick.

Uh, no.

I would give up nothing of value, much less our best forward, 2nd best defenseman and a top-5 pick for Marian Gaborik.

I like my players to play more then 60something, 40something, teensomething games a year.

Boston says no and Rangers could get just as good a deal from another team out there.

Think about it. At least 1 of the 29 teams would pay that for Marion.

This is not as bad for the Rangers as some are making it out to be.

For clarity, that is Toronto's first, likely to be in the top 10.

Bergeron gives the Rangers their young top center of the future, at a manageable cap hit. Seidenberg is a bonus veteran defenseman who can chip in some offense.

If I'm Sather I'm seriously considering this offer.

LOL Mr pull the shoot/bandaid is concussed. Just intime for his spring party schedule. Seriously if the guy got into the 2nd round of the playoffs hed be p*ed off.

Marian has a party schedule to keep and if he has to sabotage the entire team to make sure he doesnt miss any social opportunities with quality hoes than he will not hesitate in pulling a "i have headaches" "my leg hurts" " my hip feels weird".

Gaborik = the star of the 00's who will be quickest forgotten.

If it wasn't for Savard's head issues, this deal would be good for both teams IMO.

With 2 of Toronto's top 4 d-men and one of their more complete forwards traded away, I think it's fair to say that it'll end up being between 3rd-6th.

Rangers fans are really against this?

Hell no from the Bruins. The team has enough injury issues.

And with this draft having a bit of an ambiguous top 6-7 prospects that is as good a pick as any.

T.O 's first will be worth 5-12th overall, Patrice is not even worth Marian Gaborik by a long shot.

Rangers fans are baffling me.

Sather should take that and run away laughing. Bruins get absolutely screwed in this deal. Big no from me and anyone involved with the team. Wouldn't trade Bergy straight up for Marian.

Yes, he certainly is. Don't want an oft-injured, usually lazy player like Gabby on my team. His hat tricks and 4-goal games don't make up for the fact that he's a non-factor in more than half the games he plays in. Bergy is the Bruins best forward in all 3 zones all of the time.

Nobody can overrate their own talent like NY fans. I was hearing that Del Zotto and Gilroy were the next Leetch-Zubov last season from friends of mine....
