Two young, top-six NHLers for futures. Gonna have to pass.

Jackets looking to get better now with their younger players, not better later by trading them away for (even top) picks. Not going to speed up your rebuild by starting one here.

as a sens fan i wouldnt trade a top 3 pick for Vorachek would you???? Brassard Smith make up the difference when we are giving you another 20-22 first...Its a fair deal....Or just say maybe the Jackets need Brassard and Vorachek more NOW not in a couple of years.......Couturier or Hopkins can be that future C for Nash...Anyways i tried lol...

How would you like to be Scott Howson and try to sell that trade to your fanbase?

I really liked how he/she thought that Columbus had to even things out by adding a prospect.

I've seen some bad proposals on these boards, but I have to say that one was one of the worst ever.

[QUOTE=Predsrule;31111389]Brassard >>>>>>> Nsh 1st

Brassard is worth more then the Nashville pick... vorachek aint worth 1-3 pick hence why it evens out....

I'd rather just try something for Voracek, but I can't see anything that would work.

I'd do Nash 1st + Boston 2nd + Wiercioch and I'd say thats fair value but Columbus would want a fwd prospect (if they even do the deal) and we don't have any good enough.

Fair offer, but the Sens don't trade both their 1st's, they may trade one but in the history of the Sens they have never been without a first at the draft. They traded their 1st last year for Runblad but that was at the draft and it's like they drafted Runblad

Voracek was a 7th overall pick himself... he is 21Yrs old

- 81GP 16G 50Pts last year
- 56GP 11G 38Pts this year (16G 55Pts pace)... His past 21GP 5G 19Pts
- He has good size and is polished defensively

Next season he could very well be a 70 point player who is great defensively.

If I had Voracek I would not move him for 1st overall in this draft. Hoping the pick becomes as good as what Voracek is...

Then you want to get a 23 year old who has 57GP 39Pts (57Pt pace) for a late 1st

Insanity
