If Neal continues to not play a physical game like he did before the suspension on THIS team i dunno how anyone can convince him. I think Neal will find this place a nice place to kick it and chill out and get back to his old roots because this team is built around CHARACTER! and PHYSICAL PLAY! and GRIND IT OUT HOCKEY! so yeah, i hope to see Neal pounding on everything in sight. If he needs help he can ask Cooke, or Adams, or Kunitz, or Orpik, or Rupp, or Wallace, or....the list goes on. We also have Tangradi....and Bennett...and Bill Guerin can show him a thing or 2. If you are not pounding guys, then we hate your guts! unless you're scoring goals...OH SWEET NEAL CAN DO THAT! and...hit.....

We have 2 legitimate top 6 wingers. It just doesn't seem possible.

Yeah, the pens are more balanced in regards to having key components in net, on defense, at center and now finally on wing. I still would like to see RS add another RW though.

I think we have a guaranteed 25-goal scoring winger for the next 7-10 years with size, speed, and a wicked shot. How did this happen?

If it's been mentioned, I apologize, but let's not forget the other thing StaalkiNeal accomplishes....

Who do opposing teams decide to shut down?

For the longest time, it's been the opposing team's top pairing against Sid. Babcock was obsessed with having Rafalski and Lidstrom out against Sid, along with Zetterberg for good measure. It worked as evidenced by Sid getting all of 3 points, but the byproduct of this was allowing Geno free reign against Detroit's second pairing. Now the only way Geno can take advantage of this is by getting back to his former self, but you get my meaning.

Now what do opposing teams do? Concentrate on Sid rather than Geno who suddenly has a ton of help from BOTH linemates, or maintain the status quo and concentrate on Sid, Kunitz, and (hopefully) JT's 4M type winger?

THIS is what I can barely wait for, and it's really heartbreaking that we won't see this team as it's meant to be until next year.

Setoguchi is forthcoming.

******BREAKING NEWS********

Shero trades Tangradi+Dupuis+1st in 2011+1st in 2012 to St Louis for Stewart+Boyes. Source? you can't handle the source.

Make your new lines!

Kunitz-Crosby-Boyes
Neal-Malkin-Stewart
Cooke-Staal-TK
Jeffrey-Letestu-Adams

The NHL only let's the Pens go over the cap and finally tell the world there really was a conspiricy against the Pens and they forced them the cup and will do it again with that roster. Pens are going to win 5 cups in a row.

Yep, I mentioned this a few pages back. A Neal - Staal - Malkin line vs Kunitz - Sid - plug would be an interesting decision for a lot of teams. I still imagine they'd go after Crosby's line, but they probably wouldn't be as adamant about chasing matchups with that balanced of a top six.

On another note, I'm glad Neal has taken #18. He'll instantly remind me of Hossa in his brief stint as a Penguin.

Is it too much to hope and pray for someone like Hemsky as the second addition on the wing?

I'd literally blow my load if we went into next season with Kunitz/Crosby/Hemsky on one line, then Neal/Staal/Malkin on another line.

Hell, I'd even be satisfied with someone like Michael Ryder on Sid and Kunitz's right wing next season. He's obviously got flaws, but he's a good trigger man that wouldn't have to do much else other than put away the passes from Sid that Dupuis currently shanks into the stands.

I would think to get a guy like Hemsky, Gogo would have had to be in the deal. RS has already stated he doesn't want to part with a number one. In order to get a Hemsky he'd likely have to part with two number ones and a prospect.

Have no fear, we are getting Jagr back next year

Make the call, Mario.

Neal - Sid - Jagr
Kunitz - Staal - Malkin
