Does the "no-naming undrafted players" rule apply in this thread as well?

I don't have the time to edit the whole last page of this thread when I'm at work. I can do it later, or vecens can do it now if he's around. Or Rick Middleton.

Yes, the only reason the undrafted player rule isn't in effect for the bio thread is because the vast majority of references to undrafteds in the bio thread are along the lines of: "Undrafted said this about the player this bio is about."

I have definitely taken care to edit out information from bios that makes undrafteds look appealing (such as the info of Ullman's even strength scoring on Henri Richard's bio, which I guess I can edit back in).

HHH, I hope I found the guy you were talking about and completely removed him. God, it took me forever to even find it. I was like, "Does this guy think Heatley is available? Egan? Lanny McDonald?"

Could Wendel Clark be a decent fit for Denis Savard-Jean Pronovost as a glue guy?

Denis Savard and Pronovost definitely need some sandpaper or they are going to get pasted.

I'm already licking my chops over my front line bowling over Modo's first line if we face each other.

Pronovost is both gritty and good defensively. He's underrated.

Of course, he's no Clark in the toughness department, but few are.

you don't think clark could fit with those 2 ?
Savard-Pronovost is above average offensively for a 2nd line imo so the lack of offense from Clark could be justified.

Actually I forgot about that Pronovost was known as being good digging the puck out of the corners if I remember right. So at least he has that on the line for Savard who definitely needs that.

I still think that someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty would be good on that line, though.

Somebody with more skill would be better.

The reason why I picked Pronovost ahead of a couple of other good goal scorer is Pronovost was a good even strenght goal scorer which is what I was definitely looking for on a 2nd line.Denis Savard is a pretty good 2nd line center and I'm counting on them at even strenght so Pronovost was a good fit.

I'll see if it's possible in 70 picks or so lol
if not , I'll go for it with Clark.
I have 6 picks instead of 4 in the next 2 round so it's gonna be my time to shake my line-up.

Denis Savard was a right handed shot who was famous for turning goonish left wings into quality goal scorers. So if anyone could make Clark useful on a scoring line in this, it would be Savard.

Just don't have that line take any defensive zone draws...

And they will probably have Gary Suter playing from the D with them which help the transition.

When I drafted Savard behind Gretzky , it was clear my team would at least have an offensive spirit.

Elias-Gretzky-McDonald
Lidstrom-Konstantinov

Clark-Savard-Pronovost
Suter- Defensive Dman

I'll see what kind of player is available next but that could ressemble this.

He could be a good fit, from a skillset perspective.

Savard, offensively, (which is what matters the most) is a well-above average 2nd liner. Pronovost, whose three best seasons offensively are 8th, 25th, and 28th in points, would classify as below average.

I think you're on the right track - look for a better guy with all the picks you have coming up, but if you don't get the right guy, it's not going to kill you to have Clark there.
