Everybody stop crying

I read allot of threads, hear to many radio shows and watch to many sports shows about people complaining how Jaques Martin is sleeping, Pierre Gauthier should make a trade, Paul Mara's come back, our better payed players not scoring goals, desharnais should get more chances, why did Mara played the heritage instead of Picard, how we will get eliminated first round in 4, how Martin never achieved anything when he had a team packed of talent...

Man

Chill, Relax... we are in 6th position, 69 pts, 22 games left. .575 record so far.
Even if we play for .500 we still have 90 something % to make the playoffs.

Playing on the edge its this team identity. We made it to round 3 last year by playing this way.

I'm very confident with this team, the coaching staff etc. We made it last year. i know we can do it this year too.

And i don't care if we don't win the Stanley cup. If we can get to round 3 again anything can happen from there.

Actually, anything can happen from making the playoffs.

However, we've just barely made the playoffs for the past 2 years. One lead us to being completely dominated by the Bruins. The other lead to us getting to the Eastern Conference Finals.

i'm amaze at people's confidence we can pull 2 miracles in a row ( which consisted of only making 1/2 of the work to the cup anyway )

Also amaze at people that is satisfy with a team riding the ''anything is possible'' card.

Nobody tire of having a ''anything is possible'' team?

+1 to the OP.
unfortunately, this monstrous bitterness cloud, amplified by Boucher and Halak incidents, is here to stay.

well excuse me, the chances are that 97% of the teams wont win the cup this year. If at least we can make 3 rounds i would be equally happy as the person who saw the Canadiens win the cup for a fourth time.

oh nice. any plans for the 1 year anniversary (of making the 3rd round)?

Maybe we can start raising banners to the rafters every time we win a playoff series!

That's pretty much it right there, Halak was on his A+ game last year. Price will have to be Superman for us to have a chance of going deep in the playoffs, even then he'll likely stand on his head and lose alot of 2-1, and 1-0 games since our forwards don't score many goals.

I guess Cammalleri's 13 goals to lead the playoffs didn't help Halak out. The great Halak stopped the puck, blocked shots and scored goals.

we, the fans, do not have influence over habs decision process.

your all 'settling for medicore' by watching, talking, writting about the habs. thats ALL habs care about; not if we are happy inside.

People could of created 50k pages of anti price and pro halak last season, got 'likes' from entire province of quebec, and you would still not influence what habs are going to do with this team. whats so hard to understand, that your crying and preaching to others of being sheep, and wanting medicoracy will not make the molsons twitch a finger.

There's no need to do it for that long in the Salary Cap era

people can make a difference if they stop going to games or buying merchandise.

thx for quoting only the last part. All I know is that overall our team is capable to compete against any other team in the league. Even with key players out (Markov, Gorges) and a few underachievers.

So what now? if we only make third rounds from now on for the next 5 years... you will be disappointed? You will call that being mediocre?

Other than him and Gionta, nobody else was really helping Halak out. Cam had 13, Gio had 9 and the rest of the team combined for 24. That's almost half the goals scored by two players. I'm fully confident that Price can play like Halak did last year in the playoffs, but I'd prefer that he get a few goals to work with and not have to steal every game.

I just hope the team continues to block shots like that they did for Halak. However, Gorges is gone. Even Spacek was blocking a fair number of them.

Yea but people who complain, day in day out, go to games / watch games. if they wouldnt be doing either, which would result in boycott, they wouldnt have anything to complain about! so since they are here, complaining about the habs, obviously they are at least watching games, doing the exact opposite of what they are preaching.

No one is forcing "fans" to watch games.
