What was offered for Schenn?
Burke said he's received offers from over 20 teams for Luke Schenn.
What do you think was offered... supposedly they were nice packages, but Burke said while he is here, Luke Schenn is going no where.
Statsny
Shattenkirk
E.Johnson
Tarasenko
Just examples of what I think could of been offered.

Pipe dream on both deals.
Probably offensive player + prospect + pick imo.

LOL what? No chance, and also who cares, speculating will do nothing. We have Luke and I'm pumped that we do!

Probably no 1st line centers. I'm gonna guess the best player offered was pavelski maybe. Good on burke on keeping schenn, he is our future 1B/#2 defenseman(if he wasn't already) and homegrown. Future captain too imo. You can't trade away a guy like that.

If either of those packages were offered for Schenn, then Burke was a huge fool not to take them.
It's useless contemplating, they could have been anything. I'm happy to keep Schenn on this team.

I don't think there was one good offer for Schenn that made Burke think about it.

This.
The public image of Schenn being untouchable is great as far as PR with the fans go, but no single player is untouchable.
There was nothing convincing enough for Burke to consider it, because the it would have to be a massive overpayment to acquire him.

First off Burke said he's received 20 offers for him since Burke has been here as GM, not recently, just to clarify for those who may have thought otherwise
And it was probably B. Schenn+ for L. Schenn to replace J. Johnson loll

Doesn't matter, you don't trade him short of a ridiculous package like a 1st line C and and another great roster player, aka we're not getting it so don't speculate. Be happy with what we have

Crosby and Malkin were offered last year in the summer. He quickly shot it down for obvious reasons. Not enough cap space.

I would keep Luke Schenn over Alex Ovechkin or the long-term concussed Sidney Crosby. There's nothing that could've been offered that would be enough for an ever-developing player whose ceiling is being the best defensive dman in the league for several seasons.

I don't think it would have to be "massive overpayment", if the player in return was of similar age and equal or better than Schenn, Burke may pull the trigger, especially if it suits a need that Burke feels is more important on the team in his vision

Pretty sure I'd be insulted too.. good thing we don't have idiotic GM's that would trade Schenn cause he had a sophomore slump for a god damn low draft pick.. Gillis thought he was smart on that one...
