My serious question to Knicks fans:

Why go hard after CP3 or DWill when Dwight Howard may be available? I would think a massive force in the paint is the more important piece when you already have a couple of guys like Melo and Amare

**NBA BUZZ**Source: Knicks dangling Corey Brewer -surprisingly 2-3 teams are interested - Knicks want Camby / Dalembert & are working phone

Howard is the clear first choice, but I doubt he signs with us. West Coast or bust.

Because you need a player to get Amare the ball, Melo can creat for himself but Amare does not. You need a good distributor, you already have a big man in Amare that can finish. A less shiny, defensive rebounding center will do just as well.

I don't really know much about Brewer, but I keep reading he's good defensively. Why trade him now?

But couldnt you do the same thing with the PG position? Sign Howard and get a guy who can pass the ball well but may not score more than 10 points a game? For me, looking around at the East, I would much prefer to have Howard standing under the hoop to discourage the likes of Lebron and DWade from just driving to the hoop constantly.

We need a big BADLY right now. We lost a lot of size.

An athletic C who can blocks shots, grab rebounds, and doesn't need the ball offensively, IMO, fits better with Amar'e and Melo. That's why I'd rather get Paul. That's why a player like Camby would be ideal right now. Fields and a Camby would ideally fill in the spaces of a Amar'e/Stat/CP3 big three.

Yeah you could, but I think it would be easier to find the center than the PG, it is hard to find an elite passer.

Trust me either one would be nice

Don't trade Brewer. Move some other small pieces for a big. Brewer will really help out the Knicks in the long run.

Only problem with this idea is that Camby will likely have retired by the time CP3 (or anyone else) suits up for the Knicks in '12-'13.

However, I do agree with your earlier assertion that a Camby-like center with a top PG would be a better for for the Knicks than Howard. With 2 all star forwards all you need from the C is defense & rebounding. If you wanna get greedy, throw in the ability to hit the 15 footer.

Way too early to tell whether Williams will sign there or not. I imagine the Knicks will want Paul more, anyway.

Paul and Howard should team up in Orlando. The Magic can move Nelson, perhaps for a decent big man to complement Howard, re-sign Richardson to an affordable deal. Paul and Howard would be killer together. Excellent defensive combo, great pick and roll.

Most rumors have Howard wanting to head to LA. And, I agree that Paul is more likely the Knicks' target...especially when CAA got heavily involved in the Melo deal.

I hope that doesn't happen. If anything I'd rather see Paul go to LA. Paul, Pao and an aging Kobe.

Howard should stay with the Magic. They've done a pretty decent job of trying to make that team a winner. They've taken risks. That franchise has had such terrible luck. Plus, they have awesome jerseys.

Whoa, did anyone else see the Knicks Bucks promo on MSG just now? It had a quote by Melo saying he's always wanted to play for NY, wanted to be Bernard King, etc. During this, they had shots of Melo,MSG,etc In the background was the opening of "I'm Coming Home" by Diddy. Not gonna lie, I got goosebumps.

It's a little out of control now IMO. You'd think Jesus Christ was coming to play for the Knicks tonight.

I don't mind at all, lol. Can't believe I'm missing this game for a party at 5:30, I'm watching the press conference in its entirety though, I don't give a **** if I'm late.

Agreed.

What really upsets me is that people are being quick to consider this Melo's team, as far as the radio i've listened to and people i've talked to.

This is Stat's team.
