Pending trade. Sel sends Parise and Paajarvi to Pauser for Briere, Visnovsky, and Howard. I don't know why no one announced it here.

Wow, I assumed that was the starting point for parise, Did not expect that to be the finished deal. Tho I am a bit biased since I was also trying to acquire him

I am happy tho, pauser just got worse THIS year. But clearly got the best player in the deal, and easily wins this deal(in the long term).

Howard is a huge question mark for next year, If he signs in detroit, it's not bad for sel. If he leaves, it's a train-wreck.

I actually like the deal for Sel. Briere is underrated.

We have a trade to announce.

SelKesler trades: Letang, 4th (CCF) with a condition that SelKesler can switch it for a 5th (1-6 in the round) if he acquires one

for

Tiranis': Kari Lehtonen

And so it's back on. Thanks to SelKesler for being prompt in renegotiating this deal.

after getting howard i really didn't want to do it anymore but i made a commitment i would have felt bad backing out of your first ever deal. I'll make it work with 4 goalies haha or i'll deal one

PS I'm looking to deal one of my goalies other then Howard and a skater keeper for a top forward..

Mason, Lehtonen or Brodeur AND Lecavalier, Krejci, Hemsky, Briere or Visnovsky for a top forward...lemme know if you're interested, I know some of you need a goalie

Really? You think a 70pts/70PIM 34 year old (by next season) forward has keeper value? If Howard retains the starting job in Detroit this turns out okay for SK. Big if though at this point.

I am very pleased to announce that the Pauser organization has acquired Zach Parise. Along with Parise, we acquire top rookie prospect Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson, in exchange for Jimmy Howard, Danny Briere, and Lubomir Visnovsky.

We paid a high price to get Parise, but we feel in the long-run we got the best player in the deal and it makes us a better organization as a whole. I would like to wish the three players we gave up all the best.

i stand corrected it was St Louis and Montoya, but still.

St louis is 35. Al Montoya is an AHL goalie on the 2nd worst team in the league. Come on man.

Haha...okay, well, that's much better, but still nowhere near fair IMO. I just can't imagine any forward being a keeper at 36+.

P.S. I'm taking offers for Emery! I figure he's worth at least 2 Montoya's.

Okay, seriously though...McElhinney's been so awful, Emery's bound to get the starting job within a week and keep it till Hiller's back. Nice insurance for me.
