I read an article a bit back that it's getting better and he's starting Ice/Workouts again.

And Likely the 1st. Probably Top 15 too.

He will definitely go first round, but I don't think he will go top 5, like he was sloted to before the injury.

I see him probably going anywhere from 6h to 11th, with the slim chance of slipping to the late teens if he is the guy to slide this year. There's one every year, and he could be it I guess.

We've had threads like this before, but he's arguably the 3rd most talented forward in the draft (behind Yakupov and Grigorenko), and it sounds like he should make a full recovery. Draft year injuries of similar severity to guys like Connolly and Cowen didn't affect their stock all that much, so if doctors truly believe that his knee shouldn't be an issue in the future, I have to think that Galchenyuk is close to a lock to go top 15, with a good shot at going top 10. I think he'll probably be the 3rd or 4th forward drafted, could maybe be the 5th forward drafted, doubt he'll drop as far as being the 6th forward drafted.

He's targeting a return in March.

I see Buffalo taking him at 6. Yakupov, Grigorenko and Forsberg will go to Columbus, Montreal and Carolina. Edmonton and Islanders will take D-men. I can't see Buffalo passing on him at 6.

TB would benefit the most from Galchenyuk.

Why would they even need Galchenyuk when they already have Stamkos and Lecavalier on their first two lines?

I'd have to say the Leafs would......and wouldnt you know it, given the crappy play of the last two weeks, we're in a position where its not a stretch to think we could get him.

Assuming Etem and Palmieri meet their upside (30+ and 30 goal scorers respectively)
I thought you wanted Yakupov?

Make up your mind!

Switch him to winger and he'll be St. Louis' replacement.

He is going to the Habs and you'll like it, anyway does anyone know if he's targetting a game for his return yet?

How does he match up against Grigorenko? In terms of skill and attitude? If both were healthy, who'd likely go ahead? Who would the Habs take?

I think the habs would take Grigorenko over Galchenyuk for a couple reasons. Biggest ones are that he played in the Q and is more NHL ready imo. But I think Galchenyuk is a lot more raw but once he develops will be the better player. He has an amazing work ethic and a good attitude. Could easily be the best player to come out of this draft.

You guys need to let it go - in a fanbase of hundreds of thousands there are bound to be plenty of obnoxious fans, but stop generalizing it to all of us.

You're only realizing this now?

And I like how you say that like it's the whole fanbase that's bipolar.

Timmins would take Galchenyuk over Grigorenko, i'm 99% sure.

It's all I'm seeing. All over these boards. All over twitter. I've seen it in GDTs, trade proposals, draft threads, sky is falling threads.

We get it. The Leafs are going to crunch themselves, and get a lottery pick.

Oh and I wasn't generalizing I was speaking about the majority of chicken little's around here.

We heard that Galchenyuk is supposed to come back before the playoffs, but does anybody know around when that should be?

It would give everybody a better idea where he stands compared to other top prospects if we can see him in action for a couple of months...
