He pretty much is saying the things you expect him to say:
When asked about seeing Sid sitting out- "Huge loss for the Penguins, and the league as a whole"
When asked about the Isles game - "I am a fan of physical play, but you don't want to see cheapshots. Not too many people could have made the comments Mario made. Sometimes when you speak up, you hurt some feelings."
But this one cracked me up:
On the trade and the effect on the team - "It's hard on the guys...when we traded Colby, I remember him crying in my arms. But about an hour later, we all understood it."
I imagine it's pretty tough when you get traded, especially if it comes out of the blue and if you're a younger guy who has only played for one team.
Yah I'm sure when guys are close to other players they came up the ranks with that they have this delusion they'll be on the same team forever but ... they have to know anyone one of them could be gone at any time.
Still, I'm sure Colby and Therrien had a lot of heart-warming fireside chats after the tough losses and injuries. Therrien is so gentle like that.
