So he's happy to leave a team that put him on the fourth line with Jody Shelley and sat him in the pressbox most of the year.

Guy wanted out - I'm sure when he signed they didn't tell him he'd be on the fourth line - getting 11 minutes a night.

Isles w/a claim on Rivet?

Dmen dropping like flies. The likely trading of Martinek.

Decent vet presence who's stills are on the decline.

I'm in.

There's not a single one that wouldn't be on Leafs starting lineup. It sounds like an expansion draft for them.

Leafs would be dumb not to grab Rivet, Zherdev, Kotalik

as a Flyers fan, gutted it didn't work out with Zherdev. You always need someone who can score a goal in the post-season. Guess he wasn't willing to play the miniscule part asked of him. Can't say I blame him

Did Z inform the flyers he'd be a lazy POS who wouldn't play defense or make ANY attempt to play within Lavy's system?

Just curious

Wouldn't hurt if the Ducks put in a claim on Zherdev.

How has Rivet been this year?

Wonder if his cat shows up every 4 days, and then just walks around the perimeter of the house.

No but what did the Flyers expect they were getting? Did they think they were signing a Selke winner?

No, but he's very good at falling down at the point while losing the puck on the power play and giving the other team a breakaway. He once did it 3 times in 4 games with the Rangers. I'm not kidding.

It makes absolutely no sense for any team not to pick up Zherdev. At worst you are getting a 20+ goal scoring player for the rest of the year at a very, very modest cap hit.

Ottawa better ****ing put in a claim on Zherdev or I'll be pretty upset. It's a zero risk move with a lot of potential reward. He would probably get 1st or 2nd line minutes with a rebuilding team. Worst case scenario for Ottawa he plays bad and doesn't get signed in the summer. But he could play well, he could get good chemistry here and become a valuable piece of our rebuild moving forward, or if we sign him on a 1 year tentative deal and he plays really well we can flip him for a pick next year. There's absolutely no downside to a team like Ottawa picking him up. Honestly we have ****ing Lessard in our line-up right now. Get Zherdev.

Kotalik on waivers is nuts? This isn't even his first time... Zherdev on waivers has been a long time coming, doubt he gets claimed, although I wouldn't mind Ottawa putting in a claim. None of them are really surprising at all to me, except Rivet.

Rivet is one of the nicest guys in the league, ridiculous way to treat your captain. He loves Buffalo, the season is almost done, is this really necessary? Unless he asked for it, in which case disregard this. I would have thought after the Tim Kennedy fiasco Buffalo would do their best to handle these situations better. Guess not.

I would think he asked for it as well.
