I'm starting to wonder if perhaps the organisation gave Gomez a last chance. Perhaps why he's nominally on the first line. It made no sense to promote him there, I hope Martin and Gauthier sat with him and told him ''play well, or we'll trade you or waive you if nobody wants you, which is likely the case. its your last chance''.

Yeah, I had to re-do the title and forgot to mention that it was Thursday and not tonight. Back in there now.

What's so funny about it? They aren't *that* bad.

Kulemin, Grabovski and MacArthur although not a true first line, are a really good second line most teams would be happy to have at this point. Their defense isn't that great right now, but is ours? We have 3 regulars (hammer, gill, wiz), 2 rookies, and a depth guy in Mara.

On paper we are still better despite our injuries on defense, but it's not a huge difference. They play hard most nights, a forechecking team that gives our kind of team fits. I'm not expecting an easy game at all!

I think that's reading too much into it. It's more Martin realizing this is what he's got and trying to find 2 scoring lines he can depend on. Pacioretty and Gionta as wingers don't need Plekanec to score, so by moving them with Gomez, and having Cammalleri with Plekanec, you have the making of two units.

Just win and get the 2 points.. I wouldn't even mind if it's an OT win as long as the Habs get 2 points.. Giving 1 point to the Leafs just to piss off Bruins fans wouldn't be so bad..

Wow, I'm watching Sport 30 and Renaux Lavoie just said that without Price last night, it was a one-way game. I don't know if he realizes, but if it weren't for Luongo, Habs would've scored a couple more goals.

Apart from 8 minutes in the 1st, yea it was a 1-way game of domination from the Nucks. Yes, we could've scored more than 2 in those 8 minutes, but the truth is that Vancouver came close to scoring no less than 5 in the 2nd and 3rd.

Maybe the radio reported it badly, but I seemed to me that the habs quite a few amazing chances that Luongo stoppe in the 3rd.

Gomez took care of neutralizing the others

I wouldn't say amazing, but decent. It was mostly dump-n-chase with Vancouver getting the puck in the end or we'd spend a long time in our own zone and go for a line-change. And repeat.

Overall, most players looked at least "good" and Gomez was above average, so it was a good game

It's a good thing Price came to play last night. Must've been such a great feeling to pick up the win in Vancouver.

As for tomorrow night's game, not expecting much. A win would be nice, but it's always a tough match against them, regardless of where both teams are in the standings. I'll say 5-3 Habs, but who knows.
