Luckily McElhinney was still in goal last night. Dan Ellis is better.

Getting rid of Ellis next year for a downgrade in backups for the next couple months, I'll take it.

And this is their answer to a back-up goalie? Hope it works for them.

We gain 1.5 in cap space for next season too.
I don't care if he sucks, I love it.

Better than the situation we were at with McRebound.
McCantgetpuck is more awful than awful.

Something so minor, but something that really helps both teams. Well that is if Ellis actually plays decent.

Overall yes, but when he`s having a good game, he`s having a really good game. That is too less for NHL, though.
I wish McElhinney best of luck, though, and hope that Ellis will find his game in Anaheim.

This. 1.5 million added to the pile of money TB has coming off the books so they can retool and make a legit run next season. I'll take it.

Another trade crashes HF, hahah.
Good move by the Ducks. Who knows when Hiller will be back. Their season was spiraling out of control under McBackup. Ellis is at least an NHLer.
TB saves some $ for this year and next, but they better not overwork Rolo down the stretch or else it could come to bite them.

Well, Ellis is completely shot and utterly useless at this point...but he has shown something on occasion in his career.
McElhinney isn't now, nor has he ever been anything more than a basement budget back-up that makes Dany Sabourin look legitimate.
A slight improvement for Anaheim, most likely...but just talking about these two makes me kinda want to vomit.
