Actually, I do. You should read some of my posts on the ability to clear $2.5 million for a probable addition or keeping Richards on the thread reg. the trade. I mention the Neal+ vs Gogo+ scenario because the latter was clearly the most popular and likely scenario, as per the armchair GMs (yours truly included) here, prior to the actual trade. It seemed like Pittsburgh, with their injuries and their dire need to add wingers, would end up overpaying. I guess it is us who felt a dire need to add a PMD...or so it seems.

I thought burishs first 10 mins of the game were crucial, some relieved a bit mental pressure with some rumble tumble hocke which appeared to shake the group up early..

i know he took a risky penalty early, but still his start was great energy for the team.

Great news! Just had a game and when I heard Stars won 4-1 I was so happy!!
Back in it. I feel will go on a winning streak and start playing like we have been doing before the ASG. Cause from the highlights and reading you guys sounds like we play solid...against the 2nd place team in the West!

GO STARS!

We have a defence - and D pipeline - that can live without Gogo.... and we needed someone like Neal, but my heart still bleeds a little that Gogo isn't there anymore.

Would have much rather dealt Martin - even if he is clearly a better defender. Gogo is tremendous bang for the buck and he is going to be competent defensively (though not stellar) and G.R.E.A.T offensively while playing 23-25 minutes per game.

Since getting knocked out in Game 6 in 2008, the Stars have recorded 9 wins in the 12 games against the Wings. I can't even remember the last time we won every game we played at the Joe in a single season (such is the case this season).

Do you guys still think the trade was one sided? I never thought it was...Gogo is vastly under-rated.
Yep. One game of 'ok' play and a secondary assist on an empty net goal hasnt changed my mind. I just dont see anything special about Goligoski. He's 'ok' and thats about it..Does he fill a need? Sure, but that doesnt mean the Stars got proper value for what they gave away. Dumping Niskanen on you guys was a bonus, but not enough to even it up..

Now if we could have somehow dumped Woywitka on you as well, I'd say advantage Stars..heh

I didn't realize it was that bad till I went there, they were booing obvious offside calls.
