I know that Pierre Dorion would exaggerate out of duty, but isn't 44 points in 50 games, for a defenceman, in the Swedish Elite League extremely impressive?

Time to see if he can bring it in North America! Training camp in Ottawa, unless he's ridiculous send him to the AHL for a month or two and go from there.

Is it not black and white enough for people, they are clearing room for Cowen and Rundblad to play immediately. He's gotta be very poor not to play in the NHL as of day 1.
Paajarvi was hyped to be the next Backstrom/Kopitar because he had 29P in 49GP for Timra. When was the last young Swede to put up these numbers, let alone a defenseman
It's hard not to get excited, no Swedish defenseman this young has done what he's doing.
To go with Silver Mountain, Lehner (aww) and possibly Forest Land (Landeskog). Oh and don't forget...Jones!?
The hell?
I think the reason why Lehner doesn't translate is, because I think it is a German last name. It would mean something like "Leaner", or someone who likes/has a habit of leaning, which comes from the verb "lehnen", or "to lean".
Other uses of the prefix "Lehn", as far as I know at least, are:
der Lehnstuhl (arm chair)
das Lehnwörter (loan word)
So you can see it has a habit of being something that helps crap as a prefix. And, because our team is crap and he helps them, this is a perfect name.

pronounced in swedish it sounds like a nickname for someone smooth.
Len=smooth er= end of swedish nicknames
Rundblad is our future. I know a lot of people are really high on Karlsson and I get that, but Rundblad will be better.
If this is evident next year and we are brutal as I expect, I fully endorse flipping Karlsson at the deadline for rmassive upgrades at the forward position.

Why not have both and have two PP wizards and an amazing top 4? Franchise defensemen are rare and valuable, we should hold on to them and sign them long term. Forget upgrading forward prospects, we can draft them and sign them. You see trades for guys like Thornton, Kovalchuk, Heatley but you rarely see trades for big time D unless they are Chris Pronger.
I'm just worried about not being able to afford Cowen, Rundblad and Karlsson all long term. If they all pan out the way they could it could get very pricey to try and keep them.

Karlsson will only get better - meaning he'll be more valuable to move later. Plus, we'd still get a few high quality years out of him. Of course, that's playing along and assuming we can't keep all three (although I don't believe that).
Horrible asset management to move him anytime in the near future.
