Hearing #Panthers Stephen Weiss is warming up to idea of lifting his NTC and welcoming trade. After watching the sell off can u blame him?

I don't see how the Rangers get Stastny without giving up one of Stepan or AA. I'd be willing to part with AA. Stepan is off limits.
As for why would Colorado move Stastny, remember the owners of the Avs also own the Nuggets. An important factor in the Melo deal was getting ubder the luxury tax threshold. The Kroeke's are about reducing their operating costs right now.
SM, you're willing to deal for Booth but not Stastny...what am I missing?
It would cost considerably more to trade for Stastny then it would for Booth.
But I'm not saying I would trade for Booth at all.
All I really said was he would be an outstanding adition to the core here.
I wouldn't deal any of our core players for anyone at all. I'm not a big believer in dealing a slew of core players for one superstar. I believe in a team outweighing one superstar.
Booth isn't a superstar, however, and neither is Stastny.
I was dead on a few times last yr with my trades. This source is a former NHL player and was dead on the Bruins trade last week even told me the day which I put on my twitter 3 days before it went down and said Boston was giving Leafs a discount and bam it happened
I was saying the same thing in the previous thread. It got lost in the shuffle to this one. Last year he bought the Rams and the year before he bought a larger share in Arsenal. I could imagine that this would but some pressure on his wallet, especially with labor uncertainty for two of his teams.
Rangers are in on Liles and Sastny. Rangers list of assets that were made available
Werek
Johnson
Delzotto
Grevchev
Weise
Valentanko
I'm ok with that. That would render Richards moot. Then you replace Del Zotto with a Pitkanen-type in the summer. Then again, Liles kind of slots in there too. Imagine that would force Drury out too, Stastny is $6.6m I believe.
I hope you're right, but then again you won't let us forget if you are

And you have to think the Avs will bring in the least amount of revenue so he's looking to save bank here.
Times like this happy Dolan is our owner even if he is a ****ing horrible person. All his money is useful.
Werek and V-Tank are a very good start to a package to acquire some very good players--I'm a little surprised that Sather is will to deal them.
I have to disagree... I think their value is low when it comes to trading for very good players.... How many organizations don't already have Ethan Werek caliber prospects in their system? What are we figuring he projects to be a pretty good 3rd line player? Valentenko I don't think has much value at all... If I'm the Avs GM and I'm shopping Stastny, I'm not accepting any trade that doesn't include at least one of Thomas, Kreider, McIlrath and a NHL roster player and a pick.

Stan Kroenke actually has quite deep pockets. He is married to one of the Waltons of Walmart and he made a bit of change himelf. I would imagine that he does not want to put any more of his money into the teams with the uncertainty.
