You're gonna have to change quite a few jerseys.

Michalek - Spezza - Butler
Shannon - Foligno - Svatos
Greening - Locke - Wick
Lessard - Smith - Condra

Revised

Would be my guess.

Sucks for Lehner, stuck on the bench again... Its back-to-back, they couldn't give him this game and let Anderson have Philly?

Damn its a difficult game tonight. In one sense I want the team to lose so that the pick stays high and it makes it harder on the Leafs to catch Buffalo. On the other hand I can watch the game tonight and I like watching wins....

Leafs need to pass Carolina as well as Buffalo to get in.
So just start cheering for Carolina, and we don't have any worries - and can have both Buffalo and the Leafs miss out

Heck even root for Atlanta, since they're right in the thick of it.

Plus there's Jersey who can pass up everyone and get that 8th spot as well.

Sabres have to win to keep the Leafs at bay. I have no problem losing as it gives us separation from other teams for top picks and as a bonus, prevents the Leafs from getting too close to the 8th spot.

We have two games remaining vs Buffalo, and one game remaining vs Leafs.

We beat the Leafs (though we gave them a point) in the last game there... So I will maintain that to do our best as spoilers against both teams, we need to win the three remaining games against them both.

Cheer for Jersey or Carolina or Atlanta, all who have realistic shots at holding or gaining that 8th spot.

They are just where I want them - just out of the playoff picture, but not low enough for BOS to get a top 5 pick.

Couldn't have worked out better. I had to sacrifice a chicken to Baron Samedi - but you all see the results!

Even Cory is sounding defeated in his interview.

Who gives a **** about the Leafs making the playoffs. If Leafs win, they get further away from our lottery pick and Boston gets a lesser pick. That's all that matters. Go Leafs, I say.

lmfao, that forward group wouldn't even pass in a pre-season game, hilarious.

That is one hell of a lineup.

Is it weird that I look forward to the games more with the AHL lineups than I did before the fire sale? Just for the laughs alone this team is entertaining me again.

I can't remember, did Smith start the season with us this year or was he down in Bingo?

Because otherwise our 12 forwards are made up of only 4 starters from the beginning of the year. I do hope Wick gets a top 6 spot for his tryout though...

The defense was all here though.

IIRC it was #43 at training camp. Do they change numbers in the meantime? They might also give him #27, as that was the number he was wearing in Switzerland AFAIK

Until they make the team fulltime - the 'rookie' numbers appear to generally be in the 40s and 50s.
