Done. I would take just about anything for him.

Honestly, I think the more likely scenario if he is traded is a condititonal second and third. If he comes back, we get good picks, if not, you don't give anything up.

I don't think he will ever come back in NA.

He said he liked to play with Quebec in his junior career and it was the best city to play hockey so I think he would love to play with Montreal Canadian... He also said he doesn't "close the door" for a comeback in the NHL after his contract in the KHL (who finish this year, I think...)

If we trade Kostitsyn, I don't think we want another 4-5-6nd defenseman...

But if he does he'll have to go through Nashville first.

IF he does come back he'll be cheap and will be able to score, I'm sure Nashville will like to have a player that can score 30 goals on an ELC.

Incorrect. He signed a 2 year extension.

He's not coming back, to Nashville or otherwise.

We wouldn't trade Klein for AK straight up, let alone give you the rights to Radulov AND a pick. No thanks

Klein and a pick for AK wouldn't be a bad deal for either club. What's the matter, you don't want the more talented brother?

totally understand, Nashville has enough 20 goal scorers in their lineup, what do they need AK for?.....FAIL

Without Klein we would then have:

Suter-Weber
Boullion(OUT FOR SEASON)-O'Brien/Franson
Franson/O'Brien- Blum
Josi?

So besides our top pairing, who can't play 60 minutes a night, we have a combination of 3rd pairing guys, PP specialists and rookies. You can't overlook the need for veteran players.

What I see is an amazing top pairing, with a versatile complementary cast of vets/youngsters. That defense blows ours out of the water at the moment, and you're complaining? Wow. Your top pairing can't play 60 minutes but they can certainly eat up 30 of them. Klein is your 4-6th defenseman and you're telling me that the D is gonna fall apart because of him? Klein isn't a vet, he's 26 years old.

you missed the point as well. 2nd line 20G scorers are worth more than #5 Dmen, even a solid (yet at times inconsistent) one like Klein.

EDIT: Also if the OP is the best we can get for AK, a #5dman and a player that will likely never come back to NA....then I'll keep the streaky 20G player who hits

any sort of forward with upside would probably get it done. i would imagine the deal would be more along the lines of something with stipulations, low price initially that kicks up high if he returns to the NHL.

2nd line 20 goal scorers are great, and we need scorers believe me, but if we take away that #5 defensemen, who's playing as our 3rd by the way, we then have a #6 defenseman or rookie occupying the #3 slot. In short, we need to hold on to the defensemen with expierence right now.

Klein has effectively played the #3 role all year (and played it better than Hamhuis did last year). One of the main reasons our PK is top 5 in the NHL. We aren't giving him up just because it would be cool to have the Kostitsyns playing together.
