It's actually an NMC.

Banned for over-defending the Sharks' best homegrown player.

BTW PF, you're certainly one of my favorite posters since I am literally in love with Patrick Marleau and I hate how much heat he gets on these boards.

I only own one Jersey and it's an authentic teal Marleau with the C on it. I wear it proudly. My wife has a replica JT jersey too.

If Marleau were ever traded, I dunno how I'd feel. He's been my favorite player since I started watching hockey and rooting for the Sharks.

How is he gonna get traded? He has an NMC. He is a Sharks for at least the next 3 years. Then, whether we win the Cup or not, he can resign for very cheap to finish the career or GTFO.

Man this thread has been here, there, and everywhere. In the mean time I hope White decides to call San Jose home for at least one full season to see how things pan out. Luckily Wallin is done after this year and Huskins fills his role and is relatively easy to replace if needed. Meanwhile we have Boyle, Murray, Vlasic, and Demers all returning for sure, save a trade occurs, with Braun riding the shuttle.

I want to see DH's reaction if the Sharks won the cup. He'd still hate.

I'll have you know, starting with the 2010-2011 season the Sharks will have won 6 Stanley Cups in a row.

I think Wellwood is a good fit for the way the Sharks play. White.... I'm not as sure.

I believe Jamie will work on his game in the offseason and will come back better. I don't think he wants to spend his time in the AHL all the time. After seeing the NHL paycheck, you can't go back!
Dude I like McGinn but the guy can't play with the puck on his stick. That's what separates the NHL players from the rest of the world.

Wellwood can actually handle the puck and doesn't need to slow down and look at the puck EVERY time it's on his stick. Mcginn doesn't even want the puck anymore because he knows he'll just look bad when he boots it. Not to mention McGinn is undersized and get's muscled out of plays easily.... AND Wellwood's a better skater too.

Seriously, Stick handling!... kinda a big deal.

lol under-sized? McGinn is 6'1 and 205 lbs. That's NHL size compared to Wellwood's 5'10, 180. McGinn's also 22 so inconsistency in his game at his age is to be expected. If McGinn is given some time to grow, he will. It's not going to happen overnight.

I don't think it should be an either/or between McGinn and Wellwood. Wellwood, as long as his salary demands are reasonable, should be re-signed as he adds a great dimension as the 3rd C. I like having 2 Cs on each line practically - it allows us to be more aggressive with faceoffs and our FO percentage reflects that in part.

McGinn and Ferreiro should duke it out for the 9th fwd spot, or we sign a real proven scorer for that spot for around $1.5-2m.

Did Campbell ever say he'd like to sign with SJ or did he say something along the lines "I'm going to weigh my options and one of them is signing in San Jose?"

Let Wallin and Huskins' 4.3 come off the books and Resign White for between 3-3.5 per and have Braun replace one of those bums. There. Done.

Campbell never tipped his hand on whether he wanted to resign here or not, he always deflected those questions when it came up during that half season.

It's probably been said already, but White could have just said this to drive the price up a little bit for his new contract.

It's natural for a player to say that he'd like to re-sign with his new team. Doesn't mean he means it.

Hey guys.

First off just letting you know I am bandwagoning your team since you guys seem pretty chill, have some stylin jerseys and your arena gets louder then the one in "Hockey Mecca"

Second: Makes sense Ian White wants to re-sign with a team, seriously he's been moved around 3 times in just over a year? Poor guy. Unless he is eager to go to a team with zero D, maybe NJD? He'll probably stay in Cali.

Also I like Defensemen what jersey should I get of the sharks
