Hockey's Future Newest Sens Prospect Rankings

http://www.hockeysfuture.com/article...ors_prospects/

1. Rundblad 8.0B
2. Cowen 8.0B
3. Lehner 7.5B
4. Silvferberg 7.0C
5. Wiercioch 7.0C
6. Caporusso 7.0C
7. Butler 7.0D
8. O'Brien 6.5C
9. Condra 6.5B
10. Z.Smith 6.5B

Personally, I think Butler was rated too low, should be a 7.0C
Also think O'Brien deserves to be a 6.5B now.

I didn't know we already signed Rundblad. Guess he wasn't willing to play in the AHL so he went back home. But he'll likely get a roster spot next season.

St. Louis signed him a week before they traded him. He is on loan to Sweden. No ELC years burnt.

Surprised Petersson made it all the way up to #13. Beat out Greening, Wideman, Daugavins, and Sorenson (and of course the rest of the prospects.

They must be going solely according to skill and ability, I doubt the poor guy's back will be able to withstand NHL pressure. From what I've seen of him though, if they're going by skill I'd have given him a higher ceiling by at least 0.5 (moving him to 7.5) and kept him at D in terms of likelihood of reaching that.

With those explosive moves and a ticking time bomb for a back, he's a boom or bust player.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Greening should be further up in my opinion, although I might be a little stunned still by that booming slapshot and blinding speed he displayed in the Skill's competition. Too bad we couldn't watch.

Well, apparently you, sir, beat me to the punch.

Impressed with how highly thought of Rundblad and Cowen are. Going to be a great blueline in the future.

Once again Caporusso is hilariously high on the list.

Lol no worries man.

I know about all the defensive prospects but it's always nice to see it on paper like this. So excited to see these guys in the lineup and hope that Weircioch can pull it back together!

Who is John Henkelman and why is he qualified to give opinions on the Sens prospects?

And what happened to Nathan White who was supposed to try and set up meeting with scouts, yadda yadda yadda. The process of ranking prospects on HF is a joke, Particularly when it comes to the Sens. They don't have anyone who actually pays attention to Sens' prospects. They just read articles and regurgitate then they rank them based on where they were drafted.

.
His ranking makes sense but I agree that his "number" should be higher, the extra .5 or even an 8 could be merited. It is supposed to be a "top level"/if everything goes well rating. He's got massive offensive potential if he can ever put it together and overcome all the obstacles.

I'd definitely put him over Caporusso.

I find it interesting how incredibly inconsistant the ratings are from team to team. The Leafs prospect McKegg who is extremely simmular to Stone is 7.0C where as Stone is 6.5D. Both our lighting up thier respective leagues both have questionable skating, Stone is actually performing better right now....

These lists can be very unreliable when talking about the depth players.

It's almost like they're rated by different people...
