Agreed I would be satisfied if they called his name. Looks like he may be done for the year... not sure if it will affect his rank or not.

You mean you'd be Puemped if you got him

Moncton vs Montreal Sportsnet tonight, any players, even outside chanches of being drafted, worth keeping an eye on?

All I got is D-man Xavier Ouellet from Montreal. He is ranked 41 on Bob Mackenzie's mid season list.

Couturier finishes with two goals, including the game winner to lead his team to an impressive comeback win. He was also named first star.

This is definitely the kid I want with our top 3 pick.

Same. The guy's been getting it done since last year. Add to that great size and an already solid 2-way game, it's a no brainer for me.

Im down with Couturiere too, I like his size & he could start next yr on almost any line in almost any situation you want, he is versatile & gives the coach options. Imagine if we made him a LWer to play with Spezza & Butler. I'd put him on the 3rd line with Greening & Condra, I think they would be great together.

1. Couturiere - has almost all of the tools needed to be a great player already
2. Landeskog - has tremendous leadership qualities, would be a great pick
3. Larsson - he is the BPA right now but will he be the best player in a few yrs???

Like almost everyone has already said I'm fine with any one of the big four. But I really prefer Couturier - 6'4" centers with his kind of ability just don't come along very often. I know size isn't as important as it used to be but the one-two punch of Spezza/Couturier has me salivating.

Beaulieu was really impressive that game.

shameless plus for Sean Couturier,

Gotta think hes starting to creep back up to top of rankings after being number 4 for the past couple months now that World Juniors are out of sight out of mind

First impression of Michael St Croix is pretty outstanding. Wish he was playing against someone better than Calgary. Hockey sense appears off the charts.

When Murray was on team 1200 after the trade deadline today it seemed as though he was really interested in drafting Landeskog. He's going to watch him again on Sunday.

He kinda sounded giddy when York brought him up.

So landeskog's ceiling is Mike Richards/Kesler
What's his possible bottom end potential?

Mike Fisher?

It's amusing how much people's opinions seem to deviate over a couple days... Couturier goes from unmentioned to several people wanting him - while RNH apparently falls in popularity.

He's still the kid I want if we're picking - Larsson is my #2, and Couturier #3. Mike Fisher with better hands is not my idea of a good lottery pick.

His hockey sense far exceeds Fisher's. Landeskog is pretty can't miss IMO. He's a big strong guy but his skating is very polished and plays with smarts. It's hard to imagine him not being a top line player just because of his work ethic, strength, hockey sense while possessing a quality shot. He's a versatile scorer.

I think his upside is best compared to Iginla. He isn't the shooting threat or one-timer threat that Iginla is...althought I don't know for sure but I assume Iginla's shooting strength was something that developed in his early years in the league. With Landeskog you know he'd be pretty relentless at improving his game if all the claims of his character are true.

Mike Fisher was the epitome of perfect hockey body. He had a killer shot, amazing speed, physical, the occasional dangle but man that guy has no tool box. If Lando is Fisher with a brain, he'll be amazing.

But really, at this point, can we go wrong anymore? Lando and RNH are Sens fans so lets pick them first; they are the first generation to actual grow up with the Sens existing so it could do great for marketing and building the fanbase.

It's a good thing that you don't have a say, because your idea of a good lottery pick appears to be completely misinformed. It's really mind-numbing how many people on the Sens board compare Landeskog to Fisher.

I don't think I'd like to waste a lottery pick on the next Corey Locke (RNH.)
