I DO have a good feeling about this one.......as long as either miller or Enroth plays I think we got a shot.....we started scoring again.....terry seems to have a good effect on us........no more bad feelings, THIS IS A NEW ERA......GO SABS!!!!

I'm going to this game, my 3rd game of the year...it sucks because I know they are totally going to **** the bed in the second game in two nights. They even showed Babcock watching the game on TV going "muhahaha I will destroy this team tomorrow."

Prove me wrong Sabres! Prove me wrong.

Same here.

3-2 Wings in a heartbreaker, Drew Miller with the GWG on his older brother halfway through the 3rd.

The tired and banged-up Sabres at worst scrape out a point against a top 5 team.

People complain about how they're not a playoff team.

Actual throwbacks or the 40th Anniversary jerseys?

I won't be watching tonight. So they'll win. I'm pretty sure that every game that I've missed this season they've won.

Also while I'm dreaming, why don't I predict a Neids goal?

I would at least expect Miller to turn in a great performance against Detroit for obvious reasons, but I can foresee the offense struggling tonight. Let's hope not.

To me the debate is whether to waste Miller on a game like this. He came back so strong after just getting one game off. I'd like to see Enroth and hope for a miracle.
I know you can't throw away any games but this is our toughest one other than Philly.
I have no doubt Ruff will start Miller tonight.

Why? He's 2-5 with a 3.5 GAA and .896 save percentage against Detroit over his career. Him being from Michigan doesn't mean he automatically plays well against them, especially since Detroit is good.

So why start him? Because Ruff likes to ride the clutch until it's burned out. He needs a goalie system with automatic transmission.

Maybe because he's been extremely solid the last 2 games and he's our best goalie? It'd be a huge bonus to have the momentum of a 3 game winning streak to take into our upcoming 7 game road swing.

Wait, Rivet was put on waivers, so that must mean there's a trade coming up. And we're playing the Wings...so...

Miller to Red Wings (e39)

Let the rumors begin

Anyone have any good Sabres bar recommendations in the Niagara Region (Ontario)?

Noteworthy prediction:

Sabres win a dandy! 5-2

Ennis x2
Stafford
Montador
Kaleta

Hudler
Bertuzzi

Following the game we find out that the Sabres have completed a mid-game trade with the Edmonton Oilers sending Tim Connolly, Chris Butler, and a 1st round pick for Ales Hemsky and Ladislav Smid!

Do not want. Just awful. The exact opposite of the type of player this team needs.

You know, we could trade Miller to Detroit right now under the condition that he must dress for the Red Wings and play the entire game. He will be shocked, pissed, and we will know his weaknesses. Guaranteed 2 points!

Exactly. We have no need for a winger at the moment. Plus you're trading away Connolly while not getting a center back, completely depleting our center depth. The trade makes no sense.
