JVR assigned to Adirondack Temporarily due to roster limit
Apprently Pronger won't be back for tonight's game so we need to keep Gus and Boynton on the big club. My question is why Nodl gets to stay over JVR...

PHI will assign (temporarily) James van Riemsdyk to AHL to make room for Boynton. With Pronger out, PHI needs Boynton/Gustafsson now.
What? Does that mean that O'Donnell is out as well? I thought Gustafsson was called up in case Pronger couldn't go? Or are we going to try going with 7 d's?
Mez-Carle
Timonen-Coburn
OD-Gustafsson/Boynton
Or is it as simple that Boynton won't make it til the game on time and therefore Gustafsson has to stay up, but they'll need to send someone down in order to add Boynton to the roster? I'm quite far from being an expert on how these things work...
Flyers have 26 men on the roster right now ... Lapeirriere and Bart are presumably on LTIR so that's 24 on the active roster. Have to send someone down.

This is how I understand what is happening. Gus will be playing tonight (I think), but we are at the contract limit, so they had to send someone down inorder to claim Boyton.
Nodl only has 100 games played, so he should be waiver exempt too.
It's been three years since Nodl signed his contract though. He signed it when he was 20. This is only 2 for JVR, who signed his contract when he was 19.

Seems like this to me.
Hopefully he gets to ottawa, and we can swap Gust and JVR
