Recalled/Assigned: JVR assigned to Adirondack Temporarily due to roster limit

Apprently Pronger won't be back for tonight's game so we need to keep Gus and Boynton on the big club. My question is why Nodl gets to stay over JVR...

Under what conditions? They've both played a similar amount of games in the NHL if I'm not mistaken, and Nodl is only a year or two older than JVR.

JVR signed his contract a year later. He wouldn't be eligible for waivers until 160 games, he has only played 153.

What? Does that mean that O'Donnell is out as well? I thought Gustafsson was called up in case Pronger couldn't go? Or are we going to try going with 7 d's?

This is how I understand what is happening. Gus will be playing tonight (I think), but we are at the contract limit, so they had to send someone down inorder to claim Boyton.

Now did they but Bartulis on IR yet?

It's been three years since Nodl signed his contract though. He signed it when he was 20. This is only 2 for JVR, who signed his contract when he was 19.

JVR will be a professional about it. He gets to rest for a game, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. He knows this is not a real demotion.
