Toronto is a great market a top 10 city in North America, with a good fan base. This team would be able to accumulate stars if they can right the ship and start winning on a consistent basis with big names in their lineup. As much as I dislike him I dont blame Chris Bosh for wanting out, the team showed him no evidence that they would be a contender any time soon.

There are teams in the NBA that I would look to for trouble like Minnesota, Sacremento, Indiana and Milwaukee before Toronto.
honestly, while that makes sense, that's not how it seems to be. Too many American born players go "OMG ANOTHER COUNTRY!" regarding Toronto (and while we still had a team, Vancouver). Even though the city is far nicer than a lot of places that have teams in the US, there's this ridiculous stigma that playing outside of the US is a horrible fate regardless of where it is. They react the same way to coming to Canada the same way they would if someone said they were going to play in Mexico.

all you have to do is look at all of Bosh's stupid comments after leaving to see what a lot of players think, especially those that have never actually played outside the US.

I agree with you here, and I was stating more facts that Toronto is a great city etc. its better than 75% of the places in the NBA in terms of the quality of the city itself, the fans, the facilities (ACC etc.).

I think alot of it has been a matter of getting a player who will actually advocate for the city. And I think a guy like Demar is on the way to doing that. We need a star player who embraces this place for what it is and goes "This is a great place to play, while it may not be NY, LA, Chi, or Bos its definitely in that second tier." We got unlucky with Vince and Bosh being "uneducated fools" (rather use a word with a bunch of *'s in it haha).

Once Toronto finally gets guys who will do this I think people will realize its an awesome place to be. We'll be able to attract free agents along with the rest of the league.

I also think implementing a cap system in the NBA (which is being more than thrown around among people discussing the new CBA) would make a difference.

Anyone know why Memphis would have interest in moving Gay?

I wanted him or Morrison in '06. At least we didn't get Morrison.

I thought I read somewhere that the Grizzlies aren't interested in subtracting any big parts from their team, including Gay.

Yeah,

Basically just speculation because Memphis did well during the playoffs when Gay was out of the lineup with an injury.

In reality they have no intention of moving him, at least according to their GM.

Will Chris Bosh be Gracious Enough

To bring the NBA Championship Trophy back to Toronto, would it be the first time it's been in Canada? I'd like to see what it actually looks like.

**** him and his trophy. If he wins and comes back to Toronto, I'll be on the street with eggs in hand waiting to egg his poser ass back to Miami. He's no longer welcome here and I wish him and the Heat nothing but failure, disappointment, and bad luck.

Knight is going to the jazz, and kemba isn't a real pg like I'll bet we'll pick up with our top 5 pick next year, valanciunas or kanter would be the BPA at #5, and fit our need in a center. If I had to pick between winning and not having any euros...well I'll be winning thank you very much!

I don't know why people say Kemba is not a real PG? He does everything a PG should do and he scores more then most. I could see why Knight gets these reviews but not Kemba. God I hope we don't select Bismack Biyombo with the 5th selection O_o

Kanter is really good though. I don't care if he's Euro, he's still BPA.

He's the all around package and can pretty much do it all.

Him and Davis would make a good front court imo.

Maybe because he's not really a playmaker?

It's good that Walker can score, create his own shot and handle himself in the clutch situations but as a point guard, you need to make your teammates better. I honestly don't think Knight or Walker can do that.

Sadly, I think Kanter might be the best pick for us because of his size, aggressiveness, rebounding and defense. We need a future center, BC has said so himself.
