I could careless if they take a cap penalty. Plus, I'm sure they know what they are doing.

Hard to knock this move. I said earlier today, Gilroy and a 3rd... muffed the player but not far off. Happy for Kennedy, hope he gets a shot there.

Great deal. Happy for Kennedy too, hopefully he'll get a shot. We kinda ****ed him over.

I'm not saying it will be peachies and cream, but I'm sure Gilroy will be out by the deadline. Probably some other fat will be trimmed. It'll be tight but I doubt the overages will be crushing.

You have no idea what you're talking about. RB doesn't mean a penalty as in a fine, he means a penalty as in it will eat into their cap space next year. You most definitely SHOULD care about that.

You guys are all discounting (or forgetting) one thing; McCabe is one of those guys that you hate when you play against him; he's got an edge. We need that on the backline as long as he doesn't get beat too much.

This is what I have been saying along with GAGline.

The Rangers will take a cap penalty which means less space to re-sign their group II's and hurt their chances on signing/re-signing(whichever)Richards.
I asked this question in another thread before I saw that you had already mentioned it here but what exactly constitutes a bonus overage?

Hard shot, but not really a PP QB. Gets his nose dirty, and is tough but not overly physical.

Not a good skater but not a turtle.

He's Derek Morris, basically except a little more physical.

I pair him with Girardi, and pair Staal with Eminger, keeping the Rookie duo together.

That should balance out the minutes.

except Derek Morris has had 1 40+ point season and McCabe has had 6, and Morris has had 1 season of 10+ goals and Mccabe has had 5. McCabe is much better offensively.

Or they could just be saying "we'll figure it out w/e" Funny now people actually give Sather the benefit of the doubt haha. I don't think the cap will be killed but just wanted to point that out. Great trade possible PP boost and help on D for a 3rd.

I Wasn't talking about overall career. I was talking about what he should be expected to contribute once he plays here.

Morris was a no-frills guy and added a little offense every now and then. Expect the same from McCabe.

hopefully we trade Gaborik. Yeah that's right, I said it.

McCabe deal... MEH. We gave up nothing, but at this point in his career, we didn't get much, either.

And someone in the first few pages said: "hopefully we can lock him up long term". That was a funny post.

McCabe is pretty much done.. so to me, it's a pointless move. I don't get how people are calling Sather a genius for this. The dude is 35 and isn't good anymore. What's the point?

If Sather pulls out Richards, then we'll talk.

Cuz Sather didn't turn the team into a laughing stock for years. Please...spare me.

This move is pointless.
