Can anybody give a justified reason as to why Plekanec was on the right point of the PP with Hamrlik, Subban and Weber all sitting on the bench? I thought that was the oddity of the night.

Whew I for one am glad Pouliots time has been kept under 10 mins. A whole 8 mins tonight, I dunno if he can handle so much responsibility. Next game AKost will have his time cut, how dare he show up gomez!

He's played on the point before on the PP. Probably trying to rest Hammer tonight. Subban played huge minutes on the PK tonight also.

Gomez played a decent game. Tonight proved why DD is not ready for NHL top line duties. Two penalties that could've cost us a lot and not his best game other than that. As far as I know he isn't used on the PK either. Which is why I think like it or not Gomez is here to stay until at least this summer unless you get some sort of established center back.

No worries. I must be in a bad mood or something. Sorry dude. Just hate drinking and driving for personal reasons.

Anyway you guys carry on. I'm out for the night. Feeling like a bit of a debby-downer now. Cheers!

Actually I thought the Gomez penalties were worse than DD's. Hal Gill was a pylon and forced DD to take what I thought was a good penalty. I do agree that Gomez seemed more "active" but it's amazing how he's always a minus player. LOL

Yeah forgot about that stupid high stick.

But still, there's no way we go into the playoffs with DD and Eller. I just can't see it.

Cammy says Pleks was trying to break his stick with some of the passes and that Pleks does not like open netters.

Good: Camma, Plekanec, PK, AK, Eller

Bad: Auld, Sopel, Desharnais (2 penalties), Pyatt (missing an open net)

He goes a 100mph but never gets anywhere. As fast as he is if he is just turning the puck over all he is doing is tiring his linemates out with pointless rushes down the ice.

I just saw the Quick Hits on the Habs website after the game ... my favorite quote was from Sopel:

"It was nice look around and actually see fans in the seats"

I guess you missed the sad, apologetic gesture McCreary gave him before shaking his hand.

McCreary: I coulda lost my job. I gave them 4 penalties (two of them phantom calls), blew a fast whistle and shut my eyes to many of the hooks & trips by your team.

Maurice: But you took our money. Why did you give us that penalty?

McCreary: Dammit, I'll give back the 10 bucks. I don't wanna lose my job.

Maurice: Okay, Okay, but you owe us. You owe us big time for the playoffs. Shake on it.

Andrei's second goal? Maybe alot of people, like me, only saw him score one goal.

I thought he played pretty good tonight, and has been good overall since Boston, but if he would just chip the puck in at the blue line more it would help his line a lot. His penalty was an example of how he's trying to do too much, looking for the trailer, when the simple play would have been just as effective. If he would force less passes, and stop insisting on always doing the same thing, he'd be better. But I thought he's been better than earlier in the year.

Bettman would argue, "the South has never been healthier"
