FEBRUARY SCHEDULE:

QUOTES TO NOTE:

We felt we were the better team tonight. Its good for the confidence to be able to beat a team like Washington.
- Henrik Lundqvist

Sure, helping to shut down Ovechkin was key, but more importantly we got the win.
Weve been playing well, but it was a matter of taking it up a notch at both ends of the ice, and we did that tonight.
- Ryan McDonagh

McCabe adds an established veteran presence to our young D-corps.
Having served as team captain for Florida he also brings outstanding leadership qualities.
Bryan can help the offense with his strong shot on the PP, and his versatility allows him to play both sides effectively.
- Glen Sather

Quite a difference in top 6 forwards to say the least .....must play disciiplined game keep them off PP obviously .I'd give us the Goal tending and D edge even without Staal in lineup

We did but that was the game where he faced 50+ shots.

Minor details but Jones will be with Brewer if Ohlund is a no-go again and Kubina wears the third (A) with Ohlund out.

Here's to a good game tomorrow.

EDIT: I heard St. Louis was wearing a blueshirt again tomorrow, feel free to pass to him just like last time again, eh?

We win if we don't just give pucks to St. Louis like last time.

TB's goals for and goals against are almost exactly the same.

It's weird. Montreal is the same. Tampa is even and has 36 wins in 61 games yet Chicago is +26 and have 4 wins less.

I'm not sure what ours is these days, but I imagine Chicagos had a couple 6-0 type games like we have. And once you get kane toews and the rest started, they are hard to slow in a game.

Also, I really wonder about mccabes potential pairing. Mcd makes most sense to me once staal gets healthy.

Please consider handedness when sorting out D-pairings.

LD: Staal, McDonagh, McCabe
RD: Girardi, Sauer, Eminger, Gilroy

We aren't going to pair two LD's together.

McCabe can play both sides on defense with relative comfort.
