Meh, I like that Buffalo is actually making changes in the top 6, but Boyes isn't the player he used to be. I don't think he'll make our offense much better than it already is. Only giving up a 2nd rounder isn't a horrible price though.

IMO his biggest problem is that he's too much like a Sabres top 6 forward. He'll have a couple games in a given month where he looks like a true top line forward, then every other game you won't notice him at all. I haven't watched much Blues hockey this year, but they were one of the main Western teams I tried to follow last year, and Boyes always seemed like the most inconsistent top six forward on their team.
You guys, a trade for Brad Richards always was and will be completely out of the question. Maybe if Pegula wants to spend wads of cash they could sign him as a UFA but absolutely no way they are trading for him this deadline.
