I have played baseball all my life and I played Divison 1 baseball in college. What you said makes absolutely no sense. People who are not baseball fans can see that Jeter, by risking his career to save the game, is just trying to show up A-rod.

Jeter is a champion and his leadership makes the Yankee engine go.

I wish Sather would hire him as captain of the Rangers.

I'm not as big a baseball fan as I used to be, and didn't even see the play (just a lot of clips so I can piece it together), but one thing's for sure, Jeter's doing his best just to win. The guy always give 110%. Before A-Rod was around.

Diving into the stands may be an old trick. But diving in, with total concentration on the ball and not shielding yourself from crashing is not.

perhaps he was just trying the to show the world he is better than jimmy rollins?

you have no idea what its like to watch a champion play day in and day out because well when the heck was the last philly team to win anything?
