Ouch, way to practically give away Bergfors Atlanta. Don't like this deal much at all.

Also appears as if Atlanta never really got over Chicago forcing them to include Marty Reasoner in the Buff deal- now they had to give something away for a rental version.

Weird trade.

Good for him. Glad he finally got to play an NHL game. No longer will he be the answer to a trivia question lol. Hope he does well.

I love how all the same Thrashers fans who spent the whole season *****ing about how Ramsay "wasn't giving Bergfors a chance" are now saying how much they thing Bergfors "sucks".

Bergfors is pretty much next Olesz/Frolik. The kid it's not that good but the return is good.

He played his way out of it.

Bergfors is a lot like Zherdev. Sure, he can score, but he takes shifts/periods/games off.

We don't need prima donnas We need consistency. He didn't have it.

I'd love to see him pick up his game, but that wasn't happening in Atlanta.

Yeap, Florida just made up for the Frolik screw up. Still trying to figure out what went through Atlanta's mind... Dvorak's value really isn't that high.

Good for Florida and their rebuild.

I like this more for Atlanta than for Florida.

I haven't had a lot of faith in Bergfors' ability to take that next step. Dvorak should improve a PK that desperately needs it, and with the team just 4 points out of 8th, that guy's effort and play on the third line should be great.

i don't understand the hate for tallon.. he is definitley a top 3 gm in hockey. He built a stanleycup winning team and he is building florida the right way. Gudbranson, Kulikov and Markstrom are great building blocks. They have Bjugstad and another good first round pick in this upcoming draft. Patience is a virtue.

FL hasnt made many bad trades actually...Stillman and McCabe both had NMC so that hampered their ability to get good value.

Name me another bad trade since Tallon took over as GM?

A pending UFA and a 5th for Bergfors? It might not work out, but it's still a minimal risk/high reward deal for Florida. Now don't put Bergfors on waivers

wow, i would be pissed if I were an Atlanta fan. Why give up a youngster for a player coming to the end?

Initial reaction for me is that Florida hosed Atlanta hard.

Haven't had much chance to watch Bergfors this year, but he seemed to project as a solid second line winger in the time I have seen him.

Anyone else have a different scouting report on him?

To me its a fair deal. Dvorak is a complete 2-Way player (+5th), while Bergfors has decent Offensive upside. Rissmiller I admit I'm not to familiar with...

Not much return for Atlanta but Bergfors is useless in Atlanta. The laughable part isn't Thrasher fans saying he didn't get a chance but that they thought he was a decent part to the Kovalchuk trade.

No need for the sarcasm-smiley. We need a PK-man and Bergfors isn't actually a young Forsberg.

Florida actually made a good trade for once!? Usually their moves are lateral or worse.

Maybe, but I'm not so sure. It just so happens that the few dumb moves he's made have gotten a lot of attention, but he's made plenty of great moves that have gone unnoticed, apparently.
