Whatever attitude problems Zherdev has was enough to stop us from claiming him. It's confirmed already that's the reason we didn't get him. Not sure what exactly has been going on with him, but it at least seems big enough that we didn't bother even taking a chance on him.
Zherdev's agent is none other than Jay Grossman.
There's another reason why we didn't go after him.
At the very least, ATL got a guy that can put the puck in the net during a shoot-out. He's 8 for 15, or ~53% for his career. Those are pretty good numbers, not Slava Kozlov good, but the best on the team (I think).
